Advanced, you will get a chuckle out of this.
The truck is from your area, it was found just north of you in Oakland, parked near the road with a for sale sign. The story is that the truck was for a radio/tv repair business out of Kansas or Isabel? The owner died and the truck was sold at the estate sale around 1965, then parked. 50 years ago. If you are from the area, do you or anyone you know remember this truck? I would love to know a little history. |
Re: Lets see your truck!
Yes, that is 50 miles north of me though I don't know the area. Maybe someone could take a picture of the panel and the name of the estate sale from 1965 to the old timers table at the morning gathering place to learn more history.
It looks really solid, especially for an Illinois vehicle. What are plans for it? |
Re: Lets see your truck!
I do not know the name of the previous owner or estate sale. Please print a photo and pass it along to the locals. Maybe someone has a memory or an old photo to share.
Currently it is in the de-mice, lubricate stage. No plans yet. |
Re: Lets see your truck!
I built this 46 for my dad a few years ago and he decided to give it back to me this christmas. Its a 46 1/2 ton with a nova clip and camaro rear, 4 wheel disc brakes, 350/ 700r4. I want to change a few things, but its gonna be a daily driver

This is my 1969 GMC K-20. A good friend of mine sold it to me. I've owned a few old cars over the years...but I've never owned a truck before. Stay tuned for really dumb questions!
