I also had to fix the upper fender where it meets the cowel.

And then there is the repair where I rounded off the door at the cowel.
The last pic shows what I am contemplating doing to the top rear of the door. This is what happens when you have to much time on your hands and stare at things. Kim |
Re: My 57 Pro Street
I say go for it Kim on the upper door corners. It's mods like those that make it "yours". Nice and subtle that only an individual who knows anything about this vintage year would recognize. Good Job.

Nice body work. Coming along well.
Hey what flavor car is beside your truck? Chemmy, Plymouth, Dodge, Foad. Chrome piece off the back window looks familiar. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: My 57 Pro Street
I say go for the curve up top and you can fix the door spacing while you do that. Its the little things that make it look awesome.

Re: My 57 Pro Street
I like looking at your build because you show all the little steps to get where you are now. Thanks!! It really looks nice and can't wait to see more progress.

Re: My 57 Pro Street
I like it, it seems like it could have come off the production floor that way.

Re: My 57 Pro Street
Here you go Kim, I took this pic at a Brothers Truck Show about 4 years ago. I have a folder on my computer for all the mods I like.

Re: My 57 Pro Street
That's what I'm looking for guys. I've actually been trying to come up with a radius I like.
Those two look good. Thanks Kim |
Re: My 57 Pro Street
Doors and gaps looking great. Glad to see your making progress.

Well I bit the bullet and rounded off the rear of the door at the top.
I had to make a template because of the shape of the door. A little cutting and bending and I had something to use so I could make sure both doors matched. I was able to use the outer piece to make the filler pieces for the cab. |

A little more cutting, bending and welding and it starts to come together.

A couple more to show where it's at now. I little filler and it should look O.K.

Re: My 57 Pro Street
Kim that looks very good! What gauge of metal did you use to do that?

I used 16 gauge. I find it a lot easier to work with than anything thinner. Kim |
