Do you have a nother picture of that console? Kinda dark. Wanna see more detail of it. Who made it?

Friday, I tore part of the roof off the back of my shop, and threw it into my truck. made me happy to use it like a truck, even got some small scratches on the outside of the bed when I missed.

I put too much in and caused a tire to rub. PO put plywood bed floor in, and left about 2" over hang on one side of the wheel well.

Here you go Scoti. Here's your old engine. Pictures are weak though. I just did a little hose off and paint job. A few powdercoated pieces sprinkled around. I didn't feel like spending too much time on this part of the project. Still lots left to do. I'm pushing to have it driving by Thanksgiving.

Did you get a chance to run the numbers?

Just wanting to make sure everything is what it should be. I was confident it was a 250.... but I only know so much.

Looks good. i'm going to be building about the same console in mine, it's going to house my Ipod, Digital airguages, and shifter.

Painted my grille support, put it on the truck. Sanded and painted my radiator with high temp/High heat paint. Put a little more paint on the truck. :) :metal:

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

I removed the paint from the new 72 gmc grille (I like the chrome) And just like I found out from this site, can't remember who told me but the acetone takes the paint right off,put a coat of chrome polish on it and it looks great.:gmc2:

Did some more laying under it today but this time took measrements and drew up my new frame rails for my back half. I will build the whole thing on a bench with my axle and link suspension/ ride height already figured into it on the bench, so when I get that done I just cut the rear of the frame off weld in my new section and boom a shortbed is born. :metal:
haha right.
Hopefully going to find me some 5x2'' Steel at the shop by my house this week. The front section will be 5x2'' to slip in the factory frame rails and the C notch and the rear of the frame will be 4x2''.

The "B" pillar, where the Custom Cab sails go, above the grey spot primer on the driver side.

during the weekend on the 65 1ton I changed the oil, serviced the trans, replaced the carier baring, replaced the rear dualls with tubeless rims and tires, and gave everything a shot of grease.
