Re: Project Slo-Go 67
Thanks for all the comments guys. I enjoyed doing all the sheetmetal repair, it gave me a new respect for full time body men, and this build has given us countless Father/Son bonding hours. My buddy has been really moving on the final bodywork. I will take him the hood and fenders this week.
We are doing a dash pad delete, as my son likes the smooth look of my '56 dash, so we welded up the holes, and will give him the smooth dash. |
Re: Project Slo-Go 67
Nice what color will it be ...
|
Re: Project Slo-Go 67
It will be 2-tone, my son is still contemplating colors.......
|
Re: Project Slo-Go 67
Since you mentioned charcoal grey as a possible color earlier and now a two tone, what about something like this?

Re: Project Slo-Go 67
That dash looks pretty sweet...did you do any modifying or fabbing to the ends? I have thought of something like that with the entire dash covered in fabric and the bezels body color...

That is sweet, definately Charcoal grey and gunmetal Grey are two of his favorite colors...... but he has mentioned sunburst orange metallic and black as well.... |

Re: Project Slo-Go 67
This thing is really coming together - I find it hard to read all these build posts usually - but had some time over lunch today to kill and read a few - nice work so far - this will be a nice truck in the end.

Nice work Heath and son....I was looking for a smashed phone from where you took it from him while he was texting and smashed it on the floor:lol:

Re: Project Slo-Go 67
Awesome work Heath!
Tell him he should be proud of his progress thus far. |
Re: Project Slo-Go 67
Looking good as usual. Nice progress. Glad you're working together on this.

Re: Project Slo-Go 67
Thanks Guys. This keeps us going on the project.....
Geoff: I had that temper Years and years ago..... Then realized i had to replace what was broke.... Nate, he stays motivated for the most part. I think we are gonna try to bend up and install the fuel line sunday, as i am out of town wed-sat. VA , it's been fun for sure.. I think he will respect it more this way, as he has his own blood, sweat, and tears in this project. |
Re: Project Slo-Go 67
It's great that you and your son are doing something constructive together. Looks really good, hope he appreciates the time spent together. Never did anything like that with my dad, now he is too old for these projects, but not too old to tell me I am wasting my money on this build!

Didn't he change his mind on the drop for his truck? Have you made any changes on that part, or waiting until the rest is complete?
