I like the vid.
When was the last time you drove it? (or have you lately)? After welding in all my patch panels, I drive mine all the time. I can't get enough. |
Re: 1970 GMC Stepside Redbuild
Well guys today I worked on my glovebox, I didnt want to replace it with another cardboard one, so I made my own. I used aluminum to make it, I just pulled all of the staples out of my old cardboard one and used it for a template. It's held together by rivets. I test fitted it and it fit perfectly. Tell me what you guys think about it.

Re: 1970 GMC Stepside Redbuild

Re: 1970 GMC Stepside Redbuild
Yeah guys the glovebox fit great and its really sturdy. It was also flexible enough to get it to go in easy. I also made a gauge cluster by combining a 67 cluster and a 70. I just got rid of the center of the 67, because all I really needed was a speedometer and a fuel gauge since I have a 3 gauge pod on the bottom of the dash. I also fixed my radio delete cover, I lost the clips so i just cut a piece of metal and put it on the backside of the dash and just clamped them together with bolts with wing nuts. Heres some pictures of everything.
The new glovebox. . . . http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii70/mas09ts/A1.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii70/mas09ts/A6.jpg My gauge cluster. . . . http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii70/mas09ts/A7.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii70/mas09ts/A5.jpg My radio delete. . . . http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii70/mas09ts/A2.jpg Oh yeah new Radiator. .. . . http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii70/mas09ts/A4.jpg Woo-Hoo and thats it for now hahaha. . . . .:metal::gmc2::gmc2::metal: |

Good for you Mitch. Nice to see a GMC getting some work done to it. I took some time off from mine and just recently started again. I'll be watching your progress.
