What they give me... :b69:

Sometimes those 'free' translators are a little too literal...

Over here we speak 'Spanglish' mostly... in other words, the English speakers only understand us partially and the Spanish speakers the same...
Por eso, most people no me intienden. But when los Chevrolets estan corriendo good, todos saben lo que esta diciendo the smile que tengo en mi cara... :)

I am fluent in Spanish but I know what you mean about it getting better after a few.........but for some reason after a few more after those few then it screws up my English. go figure???

Well that bites... but at least you have a spare handy.

Yer handy with a wrench, so it should be fixed in no time.

Re: Progress on my woman's '65 Short/Fleet.

Progress....

Now I'm a guitar playing wrench turner... not a photographer so there's no pics...just a story...

Yesterday we towed the '65 to the shop and yanked the pos 350 out. Dusted off and touched the old 283 and dropped her back in. This time with a flexplate/starter combo that actually works. Fred jumped in there and dropped the the distributor and ran the plug wires. The Edelbrock carb won't work on the stock manifold without an adapter. He taped up the manifold, cut some slits, sprayed some carb cleaner and fired it up....she roared for a second. We just wanted to hear that it had life...I was certain it did, but you know how it is. After that we towed it back to the house. I'll be sneaking out of work early today to button it up...

We are very happy...

Re: Progress on my woman's '65 Short/Fleet.

So I left work early yesterday to put everything back together. All went smooth...Lisa came home with some oil, put that in and fired it right up! We had a little vacuum leak at first that was giving us problems. After fixing that, we fired it up and it sounds very smooth and solid...winds up really quick too! We are extremely happy now...Lisa we'll be cruising it very soon...

Some pics were snapped, but I forgot the camera...I'll post them later...JC
