Re: AD Truck Project
 sorry Billy just have to keep you motivated ;)
Its been quiet in my threads so ive been slacking haha Any upcoming game plans for it? |
Re: AD Truck Project
It is all good.
No game plan at all right now. Gotta replace the outside unit of my central heat and air at home. That, kinda jacks up a lot of stuff. No idea when I could even get it in my dads shop right now to start getting the cross member on it. I keep getting the... oh few more things on my car first... response. |
Re: AD Truck Project
That sucks.. its going to set you back a bit too, well if you need help or a trailer to haul it over there let me know. |
Re: AD Truck Project
Covert opps would have already taken place to get it to my house, if I had suspension under it lol.
I think mac said he had a stock front axle. Maybe I can borrow it long enough to move it. |
Re: AD Truck Project
 yeah it makes it hard to move when it doesnt roll..
|
Re: AD Truck Project
yeah scott knows all about having to move trucks with no suspension under it at all hahahah hire him hes good help haha.
|
Re: AD Truck Project
:haha: and loading heavy arse motorcycles too!!
|
Re: AD Truck Project
I owe Scott bbq before I can ask him to do any work lol.
|
Re: AD Truck Project
yeah that was a killer. i still owe you a steak haha. billy let me know if you need a hand with anything moving or anything. i have an old 9 inch ford rear end that rolls maybe we could tack weld it good enough in place to at least make a roller.
|
Re: AD Truck Project
I was kinda thinking about doing something like that. I have the s10 rear end I could use out back, and then somehow out a rearend up front, just good enough for it roll.
Another option is we have a front crossmember out from under a 51ish chevy car that we could maybe tack or chain to the front of the frame. |

Re: AD Truck Project
I am tired of things setting me back on this truck, so I managed to get the rearend in my truck and taking it down to my folks. Who says a lowered truck can function as a real truck lol. Not sure If I can get it under the truck this weekend, but at least it is something small I can mark off the list. A bunch of small things eventually equal some real progess.... um right? :uhmk:

Re: AD Truck Project
How about some pictures eh? And yes progress is progress!
|
Re: AD Truck Project
I have two pics to post tomorrow, nothing special. The rearend is under it good enough to move it. The 52 car crossmember idea will not work, it is too narrow. I am going to try and find a stock front end I can borrow long enough to move it.
