Re: 1966 SBBW pro street
On a differnt note I hope to update my project long box today later on ( I scored a few pictures of it yesturday ).....I hope to be getting it out of body shop jail tomorrow....lol....For the record neither the truck or i have been convicted of anything wrong, however mr body shop man extended the stay of the truck just because body shop guy's are like that ......no offence to the body shop dudes out there. I am not holding my breath and mr body shops nick name at my house is " Mr one more week "......

My prostreet, a 63 swb, will sit a little lower than stock too but not as low as yours for sure. My aim is to hit 8 second times in my truck, all motor, no adders.... a tall order I know but we will see... Very nice build... Clean and sweet.. just how they should be. |
Re: 1966 SBBW pro street
Well thats the great thing about this place.....there are so many differnt styles and blends to choose from......I pick and choose what i like and that works for me...lol....8 seconds is moving thats for sure...you plan on doing that with 600 hp ? I still am working on my engine but it's just about ready...waiting on a few add ons...I hope to have the engine completed in a week or so.....The way the bags are set i should have 11" of lift in the rear and 7" in the front that way i can pick the height I want and then when i park it i can dump it.

The 63 is a build that I am collecting parts on and want 90% of them before I pull one wrench on the truck. I have a 72 frame horn to graft in so I can bolt a power steering box on to the frame, no adapter needed. Not sure what tech inspection at the track would say about those adapters. ;) Yeah, this forum has lots of different stuff going on. That is what makes it great. The look I am going for is the 70's bracket racer look but much lower. They had those cars and trucks way too high. As for the 8's, it's a goal, the same goal that got my 68 firebird to run a best of 9.44 at around 140, all motor. Make 'em light, get the suspension right and they'll fly... |

Nice didn't know you already had one on the road. Nice blue paint. Got the motor figured out on the ProStreet? Got my 427 sbc in, 3" exhaust, the truck is insane...but puking oil out the front and rear main seals, not impressed. Pans off, waiting for gaskets, Sat. will be round two. Enjoy the long box. Mike |

We changed the back of the cab a little bit to help out with the drive shaft angle and make the floor work a little bit better.....
