[QUOTE=Bennett--G4L;4978339]I agree, just wish I had it  I love seeing pictures of your Camaro that thing is just Gorgeous. I do like the idea of the Magnacharger powder coated white to match your truck but twin turbos is just sick.

yes but those chargers are 5k to 6k not cheap at all i can do a procharger set up for $3500.00 turbos are up there also, it all comes down to which looks cooler and so far most votes are for the twin t's

If you got the cash its hard to compete with the final numbers a custom twin set up is capable of producing. Likew you know I have seen several that really spiral out of control once you dive into the custom header route. Eiher way I would probably go through and forge a 5.3 if your going for anything more than say 400-450 to the wheels.

I have seen guys flip stock manifolds and build cheap turbo set ups but something tells me your not going that route.

Personally I think a procharger will suck on a stock 5.3. I have driven a couple and at safe boost levels the fun is over before it really starts.

No matter what route you go being blown is the best..lol

   you have got to be kidding ..

Are you really? Just sit it in there like it is ! It will be awesome either way. You don't want to grenade your 5.3 man.. Are you going to go though the bottom end too?

All joking aside, yeah I agree. I was really just kidding around. I'd just sit it in there as is. I like the LS motors. A lot of power and mpg. Mine will be lucky to get 6-8mpg.

Re: 1971 c10 stepside

lol i get 5 mpg on a cool day if im lucky, big blocks are my favorite , yours and bennette's look sweet , mine came off of a 88 hd chevy truck , it is a 4bolt main and it was rebuild with its factory crank and rods , then added some 30 over forged pistons , mild cam with aluminum heads, something simple , then it began , procharger but with the heat downhere it was nothing but problems with carbs, so i took it appart again down to the short block , so i added a comp cam w 670 lift so it rocks , fully roller , f.a.s.t. efi and set it up to run on strictly e85 fuel as its 105 octane , you can tell the rest just by the pictures , its putting 640 rwhp on a stock bottom end and its running awsome , so back to the 5.3 i want to see how far i can get with it ,no worries

hello boyz , i need a little help deciding , as you know one of the downsides of stepsides is the lack of room for equipment , i lower the truck to its lowest point used a rod for driveshaft purpuse, i will be raising bed panel so i have room to put the tank as u see in pictures , no exhaust will go trough here as its going on the outside of chassis , i cant put it behind rear end as im inatalling gas tank back there , it does not fit anywhere near the sides of bed so i can make work where is at , thoughts please or have u guys seen anything else , thanks

Re: 1971 c10 stepside

mike its on page 12 post # 294 , you have a 4link set up ouside the chassis i still have the factory bar set up so that wont work for me , bid advantage with fleetside i saw u have compresors , battery , tank and still have room for a spare engine , lol
thanks
