smokin build! I really like the detail. I wish I would find more builds with 1/2 ton C-10s that are leaf sprung. my 69 GMC is leaf sprung but will be on bags in the future.... just need to button up some other projects first.... keep up the work ! I know I will be referencing this thread a whole lot in the near future!

Thanks!

True! Definitely a lot of high quaility parts.....Other than the engine and transmission, Jake's will be set up nicer than mine....:jdp:

I finally got the rear bag brackets welded on the rear, then sandblasted and painted it, and installed new axle bearings and seals. Just need to put the rear cover back on, add some lube and bolt it back up... then on to the front to install the Holley accessories. I also ordered our EFI harness from BP Automotive. I've hear all good things about Bill and his harness. After that is installed, I plan on ordering an Accuair e-level setup and then finally the bed parts....

Maybe you already said and I missed it. What is the plan for bed? You keeping the step bed? Are you planning to do a full paint job?

I'm going to buy a new fleetside bed. Hopefully we can just color match it to the front.

Man, I was hoping it would stay a stepside...

Sorry, I gave Jake the option, but he likes the fleet bed more...

Quick update: We got the rear end is back in with new axle bearings and seals, disc brakes mounted. I checked the Eaton posi unit and 3.73 gears and they looked great. We also installed a vent on the rear that I picked up at Advance Auto and got the rear brake lines finished. After that we did a little "accessorizing" on the engine - Holley style, :D. I also test fitted the Entropy radiator and the rad cover from Hotrod Dynamics.

Are those CPP rear brakes? My instructions told me to mount them on the opposite side? Hmm.

They are CPP. You can put them in either way, but I like the "Corvette" look. I mounted them the same way on my 68 and my Suburban.

Thanks Mike! Quality parts make the builds a lot easier. As far as craftsmanship, I just good project manager and am good at following directions and reading diagrams...;).
