well today I turned 16, the minimum age to go to picknpull:metal:. So I'm going to do some hunting around at the yard today for some parts such as a slip yoke so I can get my driveshaft shortened. I'll also be getting my licence in a few days and want to have it ready for the road sometime soon so I can drive it :chevy:

Thanks tj, how does it work in Oregon? In bc you can get your learners permit at 16 and your novice licence at 17. With your learners you can drive as long as you have a parent in the vehicle

Thanks guys! Just got back from the yard and got a slip yoke, jeep door stops, tailgate cables and various Other little parts. I'll measure the driveshaft tomorrow and should get it shortened sometime soon.

Here in Oregon at 15 you can get a permit that requires a licensed driver of 21 years or older to be the passenger. Then at 16 you can get a novice license and when your 18 you can get the regular class c. :chevy:

Got the jeep door stops installed on the drivers door. Used the jeep rear door stops so that it would open further and have a holding point. I shortened them about 3/8". It has enough space so the door does not hit the cowl

Just came back from an adventure! I went dirtbiking at an old quarry and found an very old excavation machine that looked like it had been parked for at least 20 year. Inside the cab I found a fan that has a awesome look to it! I tested it and it blows really strong. I think I'll put it on the dash or hanging from the roof once I clean it up. It will be great for those hot summer days:fro:

Thanks dale, The diameter of the fan itself is 8" plus the stand adds another inch or two.

Spent some time today cleaning up the fan. Let it sit in the parts cleaner for a couple hours (minus the motor). Most of it is aluminum so I just polished it up and the chrome cage polished up nicely as well. I also got a new switch for it.

Anyone know if I'll need a more powerful alternator if I'm running the fan or will the stock one be enogh?
