Na, it was on top of the parts pile and kinda shiny, I might use it to hide my headlite relays. I have to investigate the one wire system for my altinator, not sure how to do it yet!

Thanks Stinker, the parts just fell in my lap, so I had to try it

I knew there was a catch:lol:Let me know when he gets here! He amazes me with his talent, 'sure I can learn a thing or two. Now that I know that '67 front end work, I plan to buy your repop. I have to check your catalog and see if you make the headlite bezels for the '67
Thanks again for the parts, they look better on my truck then sitting in a corner of your shop...J.

I can't believe it costs 12,000.00 to make a tool for that one headlite bucket. Is that stamping made here or overseas?

Okay, it's been two weeks since the last update...what's new?

Guys, I saw this build last week and it looks better in person!

That front grill set up is going to be one of a kind!
Looking forward to seeing it completed.
Nice work Jim.

A little elbow grease, and rubbing compound shined up the anodized alum. after the pic was taken...
So, does a '67 Chevy grille fit into a '72 GMC Jimmy? Yes, with a minimum amount of work!

This was on my porch, after Kurt left. Cool, huh?

You'd better hurry up and get that thing on the road before somebody gives you a ford engine. It's mutating fast. That Jimmy chrome is gonna cause some head scratchin'. Looks Good.

My '67 cowl hood w/ '72 fenders. Just waiting for the swelling to go down, the old girl took the nose job rather poorly:lol:

http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace353.jpg

You can see that the leading edge of the hood is about 1/2"-3/4" to long, I think I have a fix

Tim, just trying to cover your six. If you go the full floorboard route, with one cut perpendicular to the frame and one bend up 90 degrees at the rear it should fit.

I'll take pics tomorrow to further explain it

If you're going to have oil leaks anyway make sure you put a spray nozzle on that sprays the sides of floor....not just the center

Nice patch on the Pass. side. Hold that thought, maybe we can patent a multi-orifice tube off the valve covers:lol:

12' of extra extra brake line and 4 to 6 properly positioned nozzles fed from the PCV valve would prevent a lot of rust

Dude, sounds great, but I think sales would drop. Lets not get to creative:lol:

Rust is good

Re: PO has me PO'd

For a perspective from the rust belt...that cab looks already restored to me. j/k, but seriously, it hardly warrents a complete floor replacement. Is the cost of the sheetmetal and labor to replace a complete floor cheaper or easier than just patching those areas that need it? Even after the floor is done, cab corners and rockers and maybe lower pillars, etc. will still need work in most rusted cabs.

Seems tobe about the same amount of welding if your putting in 2 floor patches. Differance is noone will be able to tell you put a full floor in since it goes from factory seam to factory seam. And like you state you have to put a and b patches in anyway with rockers. Also, you don't have to fool with forward and rear cab mounts, since they are mounted from the factory w/ nuts welded to the inner rocker panels

Easier? yes, 10 fold...but I will give you a definative answer in about 2 weeks
Labor is what ever your time is worth...
