Nice ones! Here are some Willys and other ones from an antique truck show last month. That last Ford has a Powerstroke. I believe the whole frame or drivetrain/suspension was from the later model diesel donor. A very tastefully done job

Since we are posting other makes, I came across this on craigslist. No it is not mine, but I thought that it has some major potential. This is the only picture in the ad.
http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/2646938460.html It is a crossbred 1977/1992 dodge cummins crewcab longbed 4x4. I would love to own it, but HOAs are terrible where I am. Besides there is no way it would fit in my garage. |

I glance over that book the seller wrote but didn't see what kinda money he's looking to get. Looks like a Cummins donor to me. But,I'd want a 5spd.
Speaking of Dodge, have I shown these yet? |

Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes
Here is the reason I have not been on the board much lately. I bought this Jeep a little over a year ago and have been working on it ever since. I had a similar one as a teenager - 1975 Renegade with a 304. I bought this one the original owner's son. It is a late production date, June 1975, the father bought it on October 15th of that year. I have the warranty card. It was very original, still had the catalitic converter on it from 1975. (Non working of course!) There are more pictures on photobucket under my user name chevy17super.

Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes
WOW! That's a fine example and a real time capsule with those aluminum slots, headers and side pipes. And,being a Levis edition, especially in blue, puts it over the top. My brother-in-law,back in HS had a goldish green Renegade w/304. We had a blast in that thing.
75GMC454,I like it. Only Dodge made the 3/4t short bed back then. I always thought that was so cool. I always wanted to change my '69 to that grille. |

Well, the "green disease" hit me again.
Another vintage 4/6wd of "Other makes". I just returned from picking up my latest Kaiser Jeep (2700 mile trip). It's a 1970 XM818 powered by a Cummins 250. It's a battle veteran as it still has the shipping label on the drivers door where it had been shipped back from Kuwait. I also got lucky and bought the equipment trailer. |
Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes
You have some nice equipment there. When I am done being chief and I get my Grand National and K20 buttoned up I would love to toy around with one of those dueces.
I am jealous. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving Holiday Sarge |
Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes
Nice combo there! I need a system to keep track of what I have already shown in these picture threads. They get too big to go back and check every post. I had a pictures of a cool big ex-GI truck used in a logging operation that I'm not sure I posted and thought would go well here.Oh well, couldn't find it in my pictures anyway. But,I have many other 4wd pictures

These are my absolute favorite "vintage" 4x4's, unfortunately momma already said "HELL NO!".
Attachment 832035 But every time we see one of these she always says how much she likes them, so this may be my best shot at a vintage 4x4. Built similar to this one, just a different color....maybe a gunmetal grey? Attachment 832036 |

Hello all
new guy here, cool stuff, and this thread, phew, just as close to 3 years old tonight as you gan get! and still going! I got a few pics I've been snapping lately, digital cameras sure make it easy. The first one is a buddy of mine in his Osh Kosh "winging" back my snow banks last winter. the Dodge was for sale by the roadside, and the nice shiney ones were at the Freyburg Fire Dept. fundraiser car show this past summer that I happened on to while out on the Harley. All three of these (I'm not sure what order) deffinetly make up the top 3 on any fantasy wish list that I've wanted for many many years! Hey Special-K, I think that I've seen that longer haired fella standing next to that Power Wag (in one of your series of picshere)many years ago in a JD green VW bus with big tires! |

Hey,all nice trucks! Yeah, that would be me in those pictures. I saw you are from Sebago and couldn't wait to finish reading your thread to ask if you by chance know a no count sucker named Zeke Cornhuskerson who hauled my sister off to Maine. Now I'm wondering if this 1st picture is your dog Zip,if the 2nd is my Harley sitting at your place in Anytown,USA,is the 3rd picture one of yours, and if your youngest daughter's birthday is Dec. 3 :ito::

And did you have a Blue '76 or so Honcho with big Seiberling Power Lugs or a '67 Bronco with big Mud Wompers,4spd conversion, and pto winch before most people thought a Bronco was a Jeep?

Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes
Yep, howdy brother! Every time I see a 67/72 with weeds growin around it sittin in somebody's dooryard, I think, Tim needs to see these. There's one with a faded lumber Co. lettering (barely visible) that I would love to do a no paint type restoration on (if there is such a thing) but gotta make it through these horrible "obamanomics" first.

Yeah,a lot of things on the back burner these days for us guys who make a living providing those insignificant things called homes. I find myself wishing I went into something people actually need.
The no paint restorations are the rage these days. You see a lot of that here on the site and old lettering is icing on the cake. Just for you I'll post these (I lost track of what I showed...oh well) : |

Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes
Check out this sweet ’74 Dodge that is on Ebay right now. Factory big block 440, A/C, divorced 205 and not a speck of rust anywhere. Truck is in Vegas. I would love to have this thing! Not sure what I would do with it but it would look cool sitting in a yard full of GM’s.

Re: Vintage 4wd Pictures:Other Makes
This is my buddy's willys. It's a 61 or 63, can't remember. It's got a Vortec 350 out of a 2000 Chevy truck, 4" Jeep TJ lift all coil spring suspension, auto w/ overdrive. This is right after he finished it about 5 years ago. It stays inside, and still looks just like this, the tires are just worn down now! Other than the paint, he did all the work himself in a 2 car garage in a subdivision. This includes fabbing both bumpers, and the rear tire carrier/swing. He's imported from California, and it's hard to see, but that's an In-n-Out Burger license plate holder. In-n-out Burger has only been in Texas now for about a year.
