What did you end up doing to transition the TB SS steering to the vintage column and steering wheel? Couldn't find any photos. I've really enjoyed this build and the pace you maintained to finish!!

i Bought the shortest Ididit column available, modified the trailblazer firewall mount to accept the new column, moved the C10 column location on the dash so it lines up with the seat and original TBSS column, and made a column drop to hold it at the dash. I can post up a photo or two if it would help...

Photos would be great! Mostly interested in how you transitioned to the TB SS rack. I was hoping you were going to tell my you found or made a steering wheel to fit the TB SS spline in he cab!!! I'm currently using the TB steering column and associated plastic covers, tilt mechanism and ignition switch and intend to either buy or build an old (looking) steering wheel to fit the late model spline. Thanks for taking the time. dug

Great to see you "out and about" in the burb. It looks fantastic but I can see why it will confuse people, great build thread, I've enjoyed every minute :metal:

Just finished the final leg of the Hot Rod Power Tour. What a great time! I met a bunch of cool people, and even a few folks who said they followed my build on here. Super awesome!

Nice. I wish I could have made it there this year. No mishaps with the Burban I take it?

Nope, ran perfectly. I did about 200 miles by myself. That was a little worrysome, but she performed without a hitch.

Been working on a bike rack these last few weeks. Went through a few different iterations. Here is the final design. Hopefully i dont run my bike into my garage!

Looks good! I've carried my road bikes on top for years and, yes, scraped a couple off! Tried and true process for me now is if a bike is on top, the garage door opener is out of the car and left in the garage. I also often hang a red flag on a string or chain and clip it to the door so it hangs in my view when the door opens.

Both ideas are good. I had already decided to hide my opener in my console when a bike is hooked up.

I like the red flag idea. It might just save by hiney! Thanks!!

Make sure you tell him about this forum so we can continue to watch the build!

At least you got on the street and have a little run with it!

I did have some fun with it, thats for sure!

Im building a "51 Ford Coupe now, but an going to keep my eyes peeled for any good deals on v8 Trailblazers for the next project. I think a 60-66 truck body on one of these chassis would be much easier than the burb...
