Few pics from today. Truck is a 454/400. I have painted it 3 times over the years, I think it must have 5 paint jobs on it. Next one will be a complete resto teardown. I have used and abused this ole truck for years. Sits outside and never lets me down.

Welcome aboard from Kansas City, KS. Nice rig.

Wow thanks for the compliments Yeah this was my dads truck he was the original owner and he gave it to me about a year ago I begged him for it for the last 20 years, finally ! Poor guy he could no longer drive it cuz his knees are shot and he could barely turn the steering wheel (too old) some day I'll give it to my son probably when I can no longer drive it

Re: Post Your Ride 60-66 Trucks

I'm in the southwest corner of Kansas (Satanta KS) found this 30 miles from home, After I got it home my brother says hey I know that truck a buddy of mine's father in law used to own that. Then my dad says hey I know that truck a guy I worked with 15 years ago bought that and it had a camper on the back of it, he took of the camper and put that flat bed on it and then later traded it to his brother(my brothers buddies father in law) Are you confused yet.

Thanks. Look what the previous owner did to the dash...

Any chance anyone needs a automatic tilt steering column from a 70's Chevy truck with the column ignition switch? This one is coming out and a factory automatic steering column is going in its place.

jchav62 03-03-2009 06:41 PM

Re: Post Your Ride 60-66 Trucks

Yikes! Judging by the speaker holes in the doors and the dash hack job, this was an late 80's-early 90's custom jobber.

Born as a long bed but now it's a shorty. I'm two years in and out of money to spend on it, like everyone else. This thing hasn't rolled anywhere in a year and a half. The end is in sight....if I only had another 5 grand.

Not that anyone should care, but I tried to organize what was becoming an out-of-control Photobucket account. I also managed to kill all my links, so I'm throwing a couple of pictures back into this thread for no good reason.
