Thanks guys!!!

Its been kinda slow on it lately but i scrapped my white truck out for parts to finish the other two so once i get all the parts and frame out of the way then i may pull the crew in and get it running right.

Re: My 93 Crewcab Build

Well i was going to get the crew in the shop and replace the battery cables and put the manifold on that i brazed up and clean all the grounds to see if that will help the computer problem or see if the computer is bad but the drivers wheel was locked up (brand new rear end) and it ended up that something is wrong with the locker that was rebuilt so im going to take it to work to find a better one or just to an open diff and call it good, so it has to wait a couple more days..

Sure have.
Drove a truck with welded spiders for better than a year in high school. I didn't have any problem turning, even in the rain. It was hard to keep it straight in the snow though, and it plays hell on the wheel studs. It was cool to cruise through sonic with one wheel chirping around the turn though ;)

BTW, the welded spiders behaved better on the street than my Detroit locker I had in my '67 Bronco. When that thing unlocked around a curve and relocked when you straightened out it would let you know it!

 I'm not welding the gears. I've done it before and I got tired of trying to keep my vehicle from sliding into someone everytime I turned at an intersection and having to nearly stop mid-turn everytime a cop was close by because the inside tire wouldn't stop squalling.

Did you figure out what was wrong with your posi unit? You said it locked up the drivers side tire but not the passenger side?

Re: My 93 Crewcab Build

Yeah the locker was bad, so i have another to put in it. I removed the starter and found 2 ground straps that were bad so i hope that helps the computer problem but we'll see.

Oh and i got the new trans installed in the green X cab too :metal:

I was referring to his trip to the tranny shop. I was going to follow him over there but he had to run another errand first.

I guess I better clarify this a little bit for ya.

No, him driving the truck doesn't tell me anything. I already knew he was driving the truck obviously if I was going to follow him to the tranny shop. I was there when he finished putting it in. So, I was wondering what the guy at the tranny shop had to say or whether he made any adjustments to the tv cable.

Since I asked Scott the question not long after he and I had parted ways I must have "over simplified" and thought he'd know what I meant. My apologies spokesman Joe.

My bad, yeah i went over there and had him drive it to see what he thought of it, we pulled out on the street and he stands on it then it shifts to second and barks the tires, he says "well i guess its good to go"
Didnt do anything to the cable so i guess i had it set right to begin with (i hope..)

Well i found a couple ground that were burnt in two so i fixed them with the ground strap you gave me and all i have to do is put the new starter on and the manifold then i can see if its really the computer or if i might have gotten lucky and it was just the grounds, but we'll see..

should look like this

I think the one from the '95 will work.
You could swap it in and we could modify the one out of the '92

I think it may be mounted to the computer mount, IIRC.
