71drag was right, I was jus prodding with him to take it to the next level. If he's already running Alcohol and Nitrous, the only thing I can see for a big advancement is the next step, which is Nitro. It would give him quite a BIG increase in HP, but along with that would come the associated BIG cost to get the gas into the cylinders, and keep it along with the resulting BIG bang where it belongs. And in the racing world IT (NITRO) is called gas.

I can't afford to even pay what it costs to warm one of these monsters up. I don't know very many people that can afford to do something like this on their own. I was just a cluth B!T@H, and weekly rebuilder for a couple of seasons for these guys.

I also think what DJ's done to his 67 is absolutely mosterous. Being able to go mid 6's with out NOS and the high 5's with it is doing utterly fantastic.

Sometimes I get a little nuts when I start off into drag racing. That's why I usually try and not discuss it. It's worse than politics about how this works better than that and all that. I'm sure you've all heard it before.


By the way DJ, if you did take offense pleae accept my appologies. I in no way meant it as disrespecting you or the accomplishments you've made with your truck.

I think we all are pulling for DJRacer and his "Monster Machine" to kick everybodies a$$ when he races. I shouldn't have hijacked his thread. I bought the truck with the cage in it so I don't know about the cost. I believe it is Chrome Moly cause its all tig welded and very nice! Dan parker built the cage. He is from around Columbus, Ga and builds a ton of 10.5 cars. It weighed 3300 pounds last year with a Steel Merlin headed big bock and my fat a$$! I weight 225 or so! I have a big set of Brodix heads on order with a new intake and a Custom ground 4 7 swap nitrous cam! We hope to be lighter with more power this year!

i see you are running a mustang II front end, with manual stearing or power? if it is manual rack do you think it would be practical for the street. i am building a street strip set up mostly the weekend worior. cruise on the street and race at the strip. and am going with the mustang II front end. i want to run the manual if possible. please let me know what you think..

Lookin good Jim! Have you been racing much? I had a few gremlins tonight so I didn't make it to the track! I will go try my junk out tomorrow or Sunday! I have done tons of junk to mine since the begining of the year! It may be slower on the motor but it should ride on the gas!

Kevin, Did you notice the exhaust exits? We are calling them skirt blowers...lol I am doing my last license pass tomorrow. I went with 33x16x15 Toyo's. I destroyed the side walls on the MT 32x14 stiff side walls in 5 passes. I really don't understand how they went south so soon.

I'm still working out the bugs, been a best of 6.08 at 114 and a tire spinning 9.95 @ 134

Cool Jim,
I bought a really big set of brodix aluminum heads, new nitrous cam, Jesel Belt drive, Jesel shaft rockers, and a speedtech plate! It may be a pig on the motor but it should go on the juice! I bought most of this stuff for my next motor! I hope to buy or build a 632!
