If it good enough for Joe then it's good enough for me.:uhmk: Thanks Joe I'm off to the parts store.:exit: 1 3/8 freeze plug worked good.

The electric bill isn't that bad either, and we also have a above ground pool. It cools off here in the evening. In Vegas that's another story. The electric bill there was $400.00 a month. It never cooled off.

BTW I agree with the freeze plug. Here's a little tip. Put the freeze plug in with the cup facing out, and tap the center with a hammer. I said TAP, not HIT, like a small dent. That spreads the plug to seal it better.

To late.:waah: I'll do it that way when it falls out. It seemed to go in fairly well though. Any ideas on a temp sensor. Do most have only one wire? I can;t seem to find a replacement for the one I have. It has two wires and runs a red and green light.:uhmk:

It's hotter there too. It just started to get in the low 90's here. :ito:

I never seen one with 2 wires. Can you put 2 sensors in it?
One for the green light, and the other for the red one. Just a thought.????

2 Attachment(s)
According to the wiring diagram for a 64 thats the way it comes from the factory. Two wires going to the sensor?:ben: I wonder if it would work with a sensor with one wire.

Re: Daverods project 66

I would assume it works kinda like a single pole dual throw switch, one wire is for your "cold" light and one wire is for your "hot" light.....you could put a single wire sensor for a dummy light and it would only light which ever light you hook it to when it reaches a certain temp or over heats

:mm:I have a single pole thats on my 283 from my 66. I'll pull it off today and see if I can get the red light working. That's the only one I really need anyways. Thanks Joe. I think I got the diagram from you too.;)

I have a swamp cooler sitting behind the shop I'm trading labor for. I haven't had time to put it in. Now I wish I installed it when it was cooler out side. It's 100 plus here right now. But still not as bad as Phoenix AZ. My brother in law just got back from there and he said it was 118. It's Friday, and I'm quitting real early today. I'm the boss, so I can do that. http://wtriders.com/WTR/Smileys/default/icon_OO.gif

The boss said I could take the rest of the day off to work on my truck.:metal: I love self employment:metal: Found a snake hiding from the heat inside my hot tub. What a surprise. My dog hates snakes and lizards and mail men and anybody when he's inside my truck. Putting brake pads on the back. Been working on getting the drums off for like two hours.:me2::hc:

I was going to stop work, but didn't until 4pm. It hit 105 here, but buy tonight it went down to 89 already, and is getting cooler. At least it's not like Vegas. It stays real hot there at night.

All I did was beat on my brake drum all day. Finally got it off.:metal:Had all my real work done by 10am. Had to put a railing around the top of the roof on a old two story house. Lady said it was called "a widows walk". I was glad to get the hell out of there. Welded an old cherry bomb on my truck. It's really mellow now. I did'nt weld all the way around so when I shut it off it ticks until it cools down.;) Guess I'll have to fix it. :waah:

Back when I did heating systems up in MA there was this house that an older lady lived alone in. While working in the basement you could here her talking to who she thought was Lucifer. She kept asking him if he thought we where looking at her. Couple days later she was admitted into the psych ward.

When up to Yellowstone for the weekend it was nice and cool up there. Took the dog for a swim. Got home today finished putting brake pads on the rear. Also put on a new wheel cylinder. I bought two but only got one put one the old one started leaking when I was doing my pads. Ordered some jeep springs off ebay I'll wait to do the other cylinder and rear brake line when I put the springs on. Think I'll need to get different rear shocks?:uhmk: Pulled my rubber bumper pads off the front. Wish I would have left them alone. Now I'm thinking about cutting the stops off.
