Thanks Robert, yes, filler will be inside the bed. Won't be too long and you will be able to visually see it. :chevy:

So I ordered the stencils online the company refunded my money and went out of business. :sumo:

A local company is going to make my stencils, Sign Resources a block from my work

No way. Seems like that would have been something they would have seen coming when you ordered them. That's crazy. Seen a guy on Facebook Saturday that's local that does like old school stuff. "Dish did it" He did some stuff on that guys 72 that stopped by on Saturday. Looked pretty good.

I know right, oh well though at least I feel good they refunded my payment. What kind of stuff does this guy do ? Make stencils ? I really want it painted on and not a vinyl sticker.

Dish used to do a lot of cars at Bowman Gray. I see his truck time 2 time. I think he does both vinyl and painted. I would think just about any local sign shop could make any stencil you would need. Glad to see parts showing up. Keep on keeping.

Yes, I just need the stencil as I am doing my own paint and bodywork and will be spraying them on myself then clearing over. My clear coat should be here the end of this week :mm:

Just put the same tank in my 68! Great quality. I took the rear Xmember out and put the tank between the frame rails. Took three Hex couplings (3/8) and cut them in half. Drilled holes in the tank flanges and marked the locations on the frame. Welded the hex couplings in place and bolted the tank in. Raised the tank up about 1.25"; was worried that the tank might show too much because I have no bumper.
Then welded up a new Xmember that can be unbolted so I can remove the tank when I get the frame powder coated.

That's cool may raise mine up some also, I am running a rear bumper but want it as high as possible anyways. I will also fab my own cross member. Thanks for sharing with us :chevy:

How many pieces of wood did you go through before you decided on the ones you were happy with? You had a stack in the pic when you had them shipped to you.
