It is home not much done on the truck over the weekend .got it home Friday
night had some thumbs up and some oh great looks from some of the nabors
when i fires up the truck and unloaded it guess they didn't like there windows rattling from the the flowmaster with super 44's  had to build a garden table Saturday for mom .
Sunday moved stuff around and started the rework on the doors ..
put the truck in the front of the shop and covered it and blocked of the front with plastic . so i guess its slowly going back together one piece @a time:chevy::metal:

I think yours look perfect in relation to the cab.
I guess there used to be 3" wider fenders available in fiberglass.
They look just a little too wide for my taste;

Looking Awesome!!...What is the tire/wheel combyour using for the rears? they look great!...Keep up the good work.

niterider65 08-26-2014 09:40 AM

Re: 1965 chevy truck one piece @a time

The tire and wheel combo is 15x12 rallies 9in back space
and the tires are 31x16x15 the rear end is from a 70 model chevy truck
which is a little wider . and streached the fenders 1 1/2.. with the wider fenders I can go to a 14 inch wide mag wheel when i'm ready :metal::chevy:

Its been a while since my last post just been buzy and not able to play on the truck and when i finally got to today it was 36 deg out side ..
any way was able to spend time on the seat base on the passanger side
had a little miss hap with a primer can while mixing and spatered primer all over every thing:banghead::cuss::m6: so thus sanding the seat base ..
Too get them ready for paint and put in the truck. the driver side will be power and the pass side will be non power still looking for a center console ..:chevy:Attachment 1341351

Your truck is looking awesome. I am most interested in the rear fenders. I am at the crossroad right now as to whether to widen the rear fenders or split the bed and widen it. I am leaning more towards the bed as it might be a little easier form me, but we'll see. I just set it on this past weekend for the first time to see how much and it looks like I am going to need about 5 inches total.

Good progress! Double check your front caliper pin depth. I have had a compatibility issue in that area before and different pin lengths are available. From the outside shot it looks like the pins are barely inside the non-threaded side of the caliper. This could be very dangerous. Maybe you just hadn't tightened the pins yet in that shot?

Ok its been a while the truck was brought home from the painter after 7 1/2 months with out being touched so i brought it home.:banghead:
so ive started stripping the inside of the hood and getting it all ready to prime black and then ill paint the in side. unless i find a painter that can get the hole
truck done in 4 months im going to hot rod it black and get it ready to drive in the spring :chevy:
the doors and fender and the nose are ready for final sand for sealing and paint
so will see what will happen .
