Thanks Guys! I'm not through all of them yet, but at least he's got it at home and he can drive it and enjoy it while we pick at day projects. That was the goal. Saw a set of ET Vintage V's this weekend that would look AWESOME on it.

Nice work on the relay pack. I like the use of the OE parts

I agree 100%!!

Back a few, I commented "doin it on the cheap", which probably wasn't the best choice of words. What I meant was that they researched it thoroughly, used the best "swap" parts for the right price, spent bux where it was needed, took the time to do it right, traded some favors and pulled off one of the cleanest LS plants we'll see (all while doing a full suspension overhaul on the daily driver - in a garage).

The artwork on the cover is awesome!!! Assume you got that done while at the Nat's?

Chip is the real-deal enthusiast and knows how to get it done!

It works, and it's cheap enough. I will say that not all relay pigtails are the same. Look for the ones with fat wires, and take the time to split the harness and get as muuuuuch of the wiring on the tails as you can. Get the '88-91 power center off the firewall, and again, take the fusible links and as much wire as you can get with it. I just cut 'em not thinking, and wound up using the hell out of them. PM Skymangs on here for the truck intake mods he does to get the harness in the dash, it's slick.

I appreciate the props, John, but the credit for all the low budget stuff goes to Eric. I can't thank him and his Rusty truck enough. He has been invaluable throughout this process.

Thanks also for the Striping props. Mark Ripley did it at the Nats. Boppa wanted me to do it, and I can, but Mark did a muuuuuuch better job than I could ever hope to do at a more than fair price. The cool part is, he was really stoked about the cover and the whole truck as well.

Thanks again, everyone.

Somehow I wasn't subscribed to this one. Guess I am now. This looks very nice. I like the engine cover touches.

Spindles and Mc Gaughy struts with 3 rings in front, factory 1.5" lift block removed and 2" shackle in the back. Much mo betta.

What wheels are these? I feel like they are factory GM wheels but can't place it. Really look great!

Love Old Yeller, too! Nice work on the LS swap.

Chinese copy Escalade wheels. 285 and 305 Nexen Roadian tires. Very happy with them so far. Here's a link-

I'm surprised, I've had several positive comments and compliments on it so far.

Thanks for the props!

Re: Old Yeller's new heart-5.3/4l60 swap!

It was noted that I haven't been here in a bit, so I thought I'd chime in.

Boppa have been in the hospital twice to be rodded out, just got out yesterday. The second trip was a bit of a surprise, but he's doing well.

Yeller is doing well, he's been at my house for a few weeks getting some upholstery done and some minor mechanicals touched up and the stereo beefed up.

If you're in the neighborhood, I'm knocking a tab off the bucket list by having Yeller in the Starbird/Devlin show in Wichita at Century II Jan. 16-18. If you see us, come by and holler at us!

And if you're in KC, we'll be in World of Wheels Feb 13-15, look forward to seeing all the KC Gang there!

Re: Old Yeller's new heart-5.3/4l60 swap!

Thanks guys, everything's cool. He went in for the 17 or 18th (we've lost track over 20 years) angioplasty in October, and never quite got his wheels under him, as it were. Monday night he had angina he just couldn't knock down and went for a ride in the big white truck. They found and fixed a couple more blockages. He says he feels night and day from the last time, much better. Even sounds better on the phone.

Now I just gotta hope my visors get done in time after my trimmer cut his hand clear to the bone.

Thanks again for checkin in .

Turns out the amp had 2 dead channels, so i swapped in a Punch 200i I had lying around and rewired the amp. Still having radio reception problems, gonna get a different antenna. Had a crappy box and 2 old subs lying around, got one of them running and rebuilt/reupholstered the box and installed it, made a Masonite back panel and carpeted it. Plays pretty good.

Also fixed the broken trim panel on the dr. seat and pulled the dashpad and visors to be covered in the same material as the seat. Still gotta get that back in. Hooked up all the vents for the AC, blows hot air.

Still have some vibes, pulled a new shaft from a '98 RCSB v6 auto truck. We shall see. Gotta get a ujoint.
