Drove the truck to my buddy's place about 15 minutes away. It ran and drove great. Drove it home and right before I got there I saw smoke. Popped the hood and the tranny cooler was pouring fluid out. Bypassed the cooler and added some fluid. Tried driving to work this morning and it ran pretty rough. Limped it back to my other garage where I work on it and it died. Heard the fuel pump running kind of loud so I looked in the tank...... completely empty. Got lucky I made it home. Lol. Guess that's what I get for not having a working fuel guage currently.

Started working on the passenger side floors. I haven't figured out/had enough time to how to upload videos on YouTube from my phone. If you want to see videos of it driving and you have Instagram look in my signature.

Then I left the truck with a buddy while I went to a concert. Got this pic from him at a nearby bar.

Being a wimp and not driving it to beatersville. Not enough miles on it to feel comfortable....... But I'm bringing it down into town on a trailer and driving to the show so she will be there.

Guy also gave me a roof rack that someone made. It's not the best right now but it's cool and I can modify it for my needs.

Love the hood!! That rack looks cool, you pretty much have enough room to carry the space shuttle. ;)

Thanks! I have two kayaks and they will actually fit on top and even stop right before the cab. Planning on making the rack be able to hold them. Have a couple other ideas for it as well. Stay tuned!

really been enjoying this build, I have caught the last few pages, and am slowly making my way through the rest.
I love the "cheater section" it makes it look even lower, and you almost can't tell why.

Are you referring to moving up the bedsides? It was all rusty and after channeling it 4" I just added the bedside to the bottom for looks. Didn't look right cut straight off. It's not as crazy as your build. You have all kinds of cool stuff going on!!!

Re: Free Candy Inside: 63 Long Panel Build

yeah, just the bottom inch or so with the rocker cut off-
your build makes me want to find a 1 ton panel!

Next up is to finish the body work, do some paint work to blend the new into old. Also have to finish the interior. From there the plan is to drive the **** out of it!!!

Fixed the bedside on the passenger side that already got damaged laying it out on something. It's better now. Also cut the crap out of some brand new rockers and got one installed. Also pie cut the front fender piece and got it tacked on. Needing to get everything done in the next couple days so I can get it to paint.

Glad to see you got that rocker fixed as it looked pretty bad resting on the ground..I saw your panel at Beatersville and knew I recognized it from the forum..it'll be really cool if you get it done and get a "finished" look where you did all the patchwork.. These Panel trucks take up a ton of space--but I have a feeling yours could start a bit of a trend..what is the aired up ride height? What's the plans for the interior?

Ride height is around 5.5"s roughly. It lifts up to 11.5" front and 10.5" rear. Overall it rides pretty good. Interior plans are full metal bead rolled panels. Going with Honda Element seats so that I end up with a bed when they are all laid down. I have 4 rear seats so I was planning on maybe putting 2 in the very back. Biggest debate is do you face them forward or point them backwards. Lol

Got the drivers side done although I can't seem to get the door to align correctly. It's always been a slight problem. It's really frustrating especially working by myself.
