Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
Nice clean truck with some heavy specs, low miles and great price to boot (if not a typo).
A little too far for me though (about 2800 Miles, lol). |

1969 GMC cabover cab over 5 ton ramp truck tow truck - $3500 (Graham, WA)
Small block V6 engine that is not operational due to starter.. 2 speed rear end... Tilt cab for easy access to the engine It was originally designed to haul backhoes and tractors... I just purchased this truck and I am trying to get it going the more money I put into it..... I'm going to eventually have to raise the price Maybe I could be used for a car hauler or tow truck I don't have the ramps that go on the tail end I believe the engine is a 305 with super High torque The bed is 16 ft long Perfect vehicle for off-road racing truck transportation I don't know what the gears are but I talked to the owner and they say that's the truck would go 85 miles per hour with a Tractor on it I'll be out there during the weekends working on it if you want to take a look sometime Link: https://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/h...302821356.html |
Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
Engine should be bigger than a 305 in a 7500, if it still has the original.
Really should be a 401. Maybe even a 478. |
Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
They had me until I saw the cab-over. Seattle doesn't help either.

Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
Ok, here is one if it had a 6V53 or 6V71 in it I would grab it my self.

Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
I'm drooling over this barn find, a low mileage, super clean west coast '65 C 80 with Budds and air brakes at a very reasonable price. ( not mine ) https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto...381595270.html Can't get over the C80 thing, most were used commercially racking the mileage real quick. Most farm trucks of this vintage are the lesser rated C50 or C 60. I guessing 348 or 409? This needs to go to a good home of a Chevy truck nut.
|
Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
Cool truck.
Sheet Metal looks great. Mostly likely a 409. Believe it has to be at least a 348. Full Instrumentation too. Looks like it has a Tach. Looks like nice Heavy Front Springs the way it is sitting like that, especially having that heavy engine in there. Would love to have it too, lol. Would make a great Roll Back. |
Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
I agree with you on all points Bill.

I've tried on and off. He won't budge on the price and it's tough when you can't see them in person. If I've learned anything from Craigslist it's that everything looks much better in pictures than in person.
My attention right now is on this '64 GMC. Body looks solid but, again, the seller won't take the time to send photos of the passenger side of the truck. It's only 150 miles from me so I'm going to try to look at it in the next week or two. |
Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
Interesting truck, but it's not a '64.
I'm going to say that it's a '62. By the way, that '65 C-80 is worth every bit of what he is asking for it. If it were near by me, I'd be bringing it home for sure. |
Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread
I was going by the sellers listing for the model year.
I agree that the C-80 is worth the asking price but (realistically) I still have to factor in $1700+ in transportation to get it here. |

That's what I've been looking for. A back haul.
I also ran across this old girl. For sale is a rolling cab and chassis with 502 big-block engine, 5 speed transmission, and 3 speed auxiliary transmission. Engine runs great and truck is street legal. Call 831.423.5287 https://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/cto...356933195.html |
