workin on getting the radiator spaced back for A/C. I bought the biggest condenser I could find for the front, and it's thicker than I thought. Gotta clearance problem with the steering box if I move the radiator too far back as well.

I installed a new bake switch, altered my throttle linkage to work better, installed the hood hinges and springs,and removed and replaced the u joints on my drive shaft before hanging it and giving it 2 healthy coats of satin black paint.

ordered new bed wood for the AD today and went to the bone yard and scored a complete serpentine set-up ac compressor, power steering pump and all bolts for $50.

Cleaned Rat Poo out the Cab, popped off my hub caps while it sits in storage because I'm waiting on title before I start the build!:metal:

Not today, but the other weekend. I got the 283 in my '59 started and cam broken in. Now just trying to dial everything in and get some miles on her.

Love the look of this, although I'll admit to looking at for pictures of that part of the front range. I grew up in Littleton and lived in CR for a few years before being exiled to San Diego a decade ago. Miss it greatly. Keep the pictures coming!

It's a 1949 Chevrolet 3100 5 window, 4" drop front & back, reupholster seat, 3" Whitewall tires, Leave sheet metal alone... Cruiser!

She does sound great. You did an awesome job on that motor. I love that tachometer...haha. Currently looking for something for mine.

The usual oak bed wood finish is a polyurethane on all SIX sides. Buy the most UV resistant marine type you can find, then still keep it out of the sun. I planned to go to a marine supply place. BUT I've also read online that for decks THE best stuff is called Pentofin. Not positive on that spelling. It's an oil finish of some type. I may consider that in leiu of a hard gloss finish.

PS: Your boards are not each one continuous piece of wood? They've multi piece? Who did you buy that through?
