A little sneak peak at my color scheme of my cab. I also painted my back window frame flat black. I didnt really like the silver color.

Yes Rich it is a 63...

Rich , I have it running , not as nice as I would like , the engine skips once and a while ,it just doesnt run like it should , the timing cant be set where it should so the PO may have mixed up balancers or timing covers.. The plan is to drive this one while I finish my other one that is in my garage right now.. After the one in the garage is done this one gets cut up to become a crew cab ... The new truck has 3.08 gears open rear , that will be great for cruizin ,the other truck is more a hot rod and has 3.73 with a posi... I just have to decide what engine to run it each one...

Thanks. The last shot is a little darker. Its the current Hummer H2 Yellow. If you want the actual paint code, I can find that out. The guy that painted the yellow works at a local GM dealer. I wanted to go with the Vette/Camaro yellow, but that was a 3 stage paint. The H2 paint was single stage and easier to use in my garage.

This weekend, we will be painting the roof. Just the top. I should have pics to show later in the weekend.

I have been also painting the rest of the cab and hope to get it all put together by Sunday. I cant wait.

I am thinking something like a wheatland yellow, can't be pure yellow, just a shade of orange to it ....

Cleaned the 2 year old baked on tape off my windshield chrome so I can put in the new windshield. Letting it soak in the pool helped a lot all while I rode my motorcycle on a 200 mile work related round trip made working on the truck, working and riding all fun stuff at the same time. :metal:

Man an old truck just needs a "Paris Hilton" friggin face lift!!!! heater core yesterday and
today damn rear brakes, wheel cylinder brake line frozen, puck another damn slow down
heated the darn thing up with mapp gas and slowly working the temp 360 degrees to work it loose and finally it gave, not to mention breaking out my big cutting torch to heat up break the drums free them. the thing that suck the most was no "Coors Light" in the fridge!! that blew hard, but i survived. anyways gotta do it:)

Is that bed liner you are using for the cab?

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Indeed it is. Its kinda dramatic right now. After the seat and possible floor mats go in, you wont see as much.

Keep in mind, this is a daily driver and I dont want it too fancy.. :)

I like the idea as far as sealing everything to prevent moisture from getting into cracks.

I am wondering, does it "off gas"? Meaning will it release funky, maybe toxic, fumes that you will be breathing in the cab? Probably not any worse though than epoxy paint.

Just a thought..

Yesterday! I swapped my 1965 cab for a 1960 cab!

My buddy has an overhead crane on an I beam. That made the work so much easier.

Now the task of rewiring the new cab with my new harness and putting everything back together again. A few issues to work out is the steering column, brakes, and front cab mounts.

Overall an fun time!

First two pics are the old cab and the second are the newer better cab :)
