Wood. And like you said. You could always raise the truck to show the chassis.

I like the way it looks now too. If you wanted to put plexi in you could do it just behind the tailgate. It isn't the same as an overhead view, but it would save you from having to set up a display at every show.

I like that idea, put the tailgate down and let people look in below the false floor. But, it would be another surface you'd have to clean from under the bed in order to be able to see through it. I understand Tootsie will be trailered most places, but if it gets driven, even a little, there is a possibility that dust could stick to, or scratch the plexi.

As always, Tootsie's looking beautiful. I'd also vote to keep the wood bed.

Love the wood, don't make it to busy with the plexi, in my opinion !

I think you should build one of each. I will be kind enough to use the one you decide against. LOL

I vote wood only no glass.

That wood is uber gorgeous! The only thought I might offer is to make the two center planks out of identically milled Lexan so that a window into your madness is offered when at shows and such! Merely a passing thought.

That looks sick! What's the polished piece on the lower left of the filler panel?

You sure it won't be finished for the Brothers show? What all remains to be done?

Eric the only option I would consider is hinging the center section at the front, NOT the side. At indoor shows you won't really need it, but at outdoor shows it would be sweet if you could expose the beautiful work underneath. The gap required might bug you, but the wow factor would be worth it. Add some LED lighting for cruise nights and BAM, she blows them away at night too.
