Re: How about some pics of 47-59
Drives great. Just learn from people who have done things I haven't. Definitely going to finish off the bodywork and paint. Change the terrible wheels. Maybe drop the back a little. Has a 10 bolt and need to do the spring flip. Love some members rides and want to do things once

New to the forum,
Here is a pic of my newly acquired '47', it has a 383 stroker with a TH400 trans. Nova sub frame and rear end. I have new coil over shock on order for the front end, still trying to work some bugs out. |

1953 Suburban 3106. Had a N/A 231 Buick V6 in it, now I'll be putting an Olds 307 in.

This truck is all there, but it does need a lot of work. 61 years, and about 30 of those neglected, has taken its toll on the truck. All in all she's in pretty good shape (Southern California truck all it's life). I do have to do a small amount of fiberglass repair but it's pretty minor. The only cancer that needs to be addressed is both door bottoms and cab corners, they aren't to bad but it needs to be dealt with sooner then later. I'm planning on taking the doors off and giving them an electrolysis bath, sealing them and putting them back on. The cab corners have some break through hiding on the rear near the frame rails so i'm going to patch those. Once I get going i'll start a little build thread. |
