Nice!
How much did she cost?

I'm picking up a 89 dually for the cab and DRW axles to build a hunting rig.

It was a 3 for 1 deal, came with a 78 3/4 ton 2wd Suburban and a 1980 2wd halfton, two of the trucks had 454's. It was $1000 for all three, but I split it with my brother in law, so he paid half to get the two big blocks and the tranny and Tcase out of the crew. I get everything else.

thanks joe231, its my hole in the driveway i throw money into. currently it has 8" springs in the front, with shackle flips, 3" blocks & airbags in the back. extra space with bushwacker cut-outs & front fender trimming. i took the body off & replaced or rebuilt every thing, body & paint are still by mother nature though. the rear has a detroit, & the front has a limited. i put a pro flo fi on it to try help mpg's, but it still is a sucker, so we use it mostly to just haul our camper & quad trailer. it has 38.5x 14.5 swamper sx's, but i throw a set of toyo 38x14.5s on it with the camper for much better handling & weight capacity

i drove to my dads place (250 miles each way) to pick up his quads & sleds, cost me just over $400 in fuel, funny thing, mileage was the same loaded as it was empty

Do you have a custom mounting bracket for the airbags? Or are their airbags made for trucks with a ton of lift like yours?

airbag spacers, my leafs are only 4" further away from the frame with shackle flips. you can buy them, but i'm a cheapo, made mine out of 5" steel pipe

let you in on a secret, it was my wife . used to have a 71 jimmy with a 12" lift & 39;s. all i ever heard was blah, blah, to high, blah, blah, stupidness, etc, so i went 8 this time. now i hear blah, blah, to old for this sh*t, etc, so i caved & let her buy me the sidesteps for xmas. i will admit, the steps save on pass. side door pins.

Thanks, it was kind of a spur of the moment decision to make it a short box. Hopefully it turns out nice when its done. The hood is a steel cowl from goodmark.
