Not to take away from Darrah's thread but we couldn't come to parting out that little fleetside we found so we sold it at the Super Chevy Show a couple weeks back and Daddy got him some new wheels and rubber for the Buick. Alan I hope you like as much as I do. still waiting on the lug nuts but could'nt wait to see them on the 64.

Re: My Daughters First Truck

Re: My Daughters First Truck
Love the truck your daughter and you are restoring! I have one exactly like it! Minus the color and the spare tire. Cool to see! Can't wait to see what you are gonna do with the motor.

Finally got the outer rocker in on the passenger side and ready for the body man.
Also a picture for Alan of the Buick at a old Burlap Manufacture Building in Memphis. |

Re: My Daughters First Truck
I miss the updates to this build too.... Your father/daughter team was fun to watch!
Good job on that rocker panel, but surprised you didnt fix the ding that is low and aft of the door there while you were at it. You could probably tap most that out from the inside..... |

Updates will be coming. Darrah has been real busy with school, she is taken some hard classes and some dual enrollment classes. I tried my best at fixing that area but that's the best that a rookie can do to a place that was toast from the wreck. |
Re: My Daughters First Truck
Nice to see progress! Buick is looking great as well. :bowtie:

Re: My Daughters First Truck
Keeping an eye on this, none of my friends, girls especially, were ever interested in getting their hands greasy and dirty on one of these! Around my part of Oregon we farm and keep up land, that's what most of them are used to. Have a friend a little older than me who started then quit a project. :-( Oh well! I'm just glad to be hear!:chevy:

Alan Darrah wanted to say thanks for the brackets. |
Re: My Daughters First Truck
Y'all are welcome. Thank you. Are they in yet? ;)
|
Re: My Daughters First Truck
You're so lucky I have 5 girls and they would NEVER come out and work on anything.... Especially old trucks... I'm jealous!

Re: My Daughters First Truck
