We have some local DJ's here in Nashville that are cool as cucumbers :metal: - Big D & Bubba. I just wrote a letter to them similar to the one I wrote to the TRUCKS! TV show. I asked them if they could mention it on the radio and possibly put a link to the auction and to the thread from 67-72 on their webpage. Something like that could be huge.

If any of you guys that live within driving distance of Sevierville could do the same to your local radio stations it would be appreciated.

BTW. If you get some time send BIG D & Bubba an email and ask them to mention it on their show.

My favor....would you give me feedback for Dawn's picture when you buy it, please? I know it's a selfish reason, but that way I can get my percentage back up.
Thanks,

We passed the 1k mark !!!!
I still need some names filled in though.
The anonymous name that's last is a board member. I'm trying to talk him into letting me put his name there. But, unless he changes his mind, I'm respecting his wishes. Also, we got a donation from another forum. Here's the message I got on eBay:
Dear zippydodog,

Hi.

I tried to become a member on the board to post a message, but it was gonna make me wait to clear so i thought i'd contact you directly.

I ran across this thread on a volkswagen TDI forum (TDIclub.com) that i am a member of, and after reading the whole thread, I bought 5 pictures and left positive feedback. Just wanted to give you and everyone at 67-72ChevyTrucks.com my blessings and I hope that eveything works out for Dawn. Yall are in my prayers!

Patrick

thats so awsome, the word is getting around, were getting things down and as of right now were not loosing steam, i hope we keep this up, i hope that we continue, i honestly hope we can sell all of them...This site will be looked at as the community who cares, that we do something for someone and not expect anything in return, its out of the goodness of our hearts that we care..well done fellow members

This is starting to ROCK!!! Ok we have $1000 but now lets shoot for the stars. :metal: When we give $$$ we are doing more than giving money. This board is building up character that goes beyond donations that other forums can't touch. It shows that those who are part of this Truck commmunity are in fact an extended family and when they are hurting we are hurting. We are looking at each others through the eyes of equality and thats the way it shoud be. Hey...have we hit up the Site Vendors yet?

I don't think we have yet. It would be cool if they had the option to donate parts or money, and it might work out better for them donating parts for Dawn's 67. I am sure most of these guys have benefited from their involvement here and would be more than happy to get their businesses involved in supporting this cause.

I KNOW THAT I WOULD BE MORE MOTIVATED TO BUY FROM A SITE VENDOR WHO SUPPORTS CAUSES LIKE THIS! HINT. HINT .

Re: Ebay - Chevy truck widower selling their whole lot

OK Gang, it's getting to be too late to organize a Flea Market/Garage Sale @ Dawn's. I still need someone for Fri & Sunday. I also haven't heard that anyone was planning on showing up to buy anything. I will give it until midnight tonight before i pull the plug.
Keep in mind, i will pay for the signs/advertising & get them up. If someone else has a better idea, or a better date(s) please spill it, as i am open for suggestions. Just remember Dawn has 4 trucks & proably a 20' trailer load full of engines, doors, tailgates fenders & smaller parts. It would be a logistical nightmare to move the stuff to sell it.

RD

BTW, excellent job on the donations to all of those involved!!!!!!!

Re: Ebay - Chevy truck widower selling their whole lot

I would start a new thread on the yard sale/flea market I think that might spur some attention to the subject as it is getting lost in all the EBAY action

Is there a list of items that you have as well as prices for the event already created? There may be buyers on the site that want something and would have it shipped to them. Just trying to come up with some more ideas on how to raise additional money
