Started the faux patina on the other side...
What do you think? Pls be honest... I am 50/50 on it.

I think it's cool man! Maybe a bit too much of the color showing through? I'm sure it looks way different in person. Love the interior shot!

It looks good, I was thinking you were going a little more subtle like below? But as stated above, it's hard to tell not standing in
front of it.

Yeah, I am going to scale it back a little... Its pretty easy fix...

I got a little crazy with the sand paper... thanks for both of your input.

Re: 1967 C10 "Sinister"

Yeah, it looks drastic because most people do a dark color under the lighter color but with the red under black, it really pops. I did some touch up to mellow it out but it is still strong due to the colors. In just the bed picture, that was an orange-red but on the passenger side, I used an apple-red... it pops a lot more than the orange-red.

I redid the pass side bed because I had to strip it all the way to bare metal... there was bed liner under that paint (the guy I got the bed from coated the whole thing so it wouldnt rust... WHAT A PITA TO REMOVE)... I primed it and will throw some paint on it tonight...

I think once I do my faux-shop logo on the door and do some pin striping it will be okay. If not... I will just sand it and spray it all flat black again.

Right now... bagging it and putting on my fuel cell are my focus!

Thank you. They are Bonspeed Intense 6 wheels.. All are 20x10s and I am running spacers in the rear.

I should have more pics tomorrow when I finish the pass side. It looks betterin person than in the pics. Lol

Thanks... being I live in Ford Island in the middle of Pearl Harbor, I have so many options for back drops... whenever I take the truck for a spin, I snap pics... it makes it easy for the beater to look good with historical backgrounds!

Wow... This is getting a little creepy. I was talking to my wife last week about what I want to do for paint on my GMC and it is pretty much exactly what you did. The mexican blanket interior is similar to what I want to do... and I used to live on Ford Island. Craziness.

It looks great and now I can show my wife a pic of what it should look like. Keep it up!

Thanks bro, glad you dig it. You should have seen my wifes face when I was sanding the truck. Priceless! Thankfully my wife lets me be me. The garage is my happy place and I do what I do! Haha!

Much better! Dialing it back really changed the look. I wouldn't touch it anymore. :)

Now I wish I was still on Ford Island. I dig the pics with the hangars and the lighthouse. Can you do me a favor and get one near that rope swing over by the pool? Spent many a day there with my wife and daughters riding that thing. Call it a nostalgia thing. My daughters would love it.

Sorry bro, the rope swing is gone... It's been gone for a lil over a year. The pool is empty too... Budget cut backs. I am so ready to retire! Lol
