[QUOTE=special-K;8478614]I remember spec'ing out a '77 Stepside at $7k (IIRC), but didn't go for it. Might have been $6k. How much was yours?

Attachment 1882384

Attachment 1882385

The first invoice is how I ordered it originally. It got changed for the final order. I couldn't get the side mount spare with dual tanks and they didn't make a tach for a 6 cylinder. I also decided not to get the plow. I really wanted it to be dark green solid but they didn't want to order it that color because they said if I backed out of buying it, they would have had a hard time selling it so they threw in the two tone, roof only, for free. The second invoice is what I actually paid. I asked for the window sticker but it got ruined by mistake.
I had to sell it in 1980 due to my wife getting pregnant and truck payments needed to go away. Big mistake. I sold it to the Bethel Oil Company in Bethel ME. They were replacing a 69 Chevy that was pretty much the same truck. My truck is now on the farm of the owner of the oil company. It has 225000 on it, never been torn down but is rotted all to hell. They still use it all summer and plow with it on occasion.
In 1987 I bought a 1977 GMC 3/4 4wd 8ft. stepside from the Sate of MA. It was an old Forest Ranger truck. 350 4 speed. I owned it for 18 years until I gave into a guy bugging me to buy it. It was the color I wanted on my 78, Forrest Green. Because I had it so long, i miss that truck more than the one I ordered.

Remarkably no, it was a 60’ plus tree. Dented both A-posts, hood and shattered the windshield. Climbed through the passenger side, hit four low, slammed it in reverse and pulled it out. When the blizzard cleared I was able to drive it to the shop.

With all the storms lately there must be some good snow pictures. I would love to see some snowplow pics. We have minimal snow but lots of hoar frost = pretty.

Got a little bit of snow a week before Christmas and I left the truck out that night, made for a nice photo op.

I keep the truck tucked away in the garage during the New Hampshire winters, but do take it out for the Christmas run in December.

Thanks for bringing this great thread back. Just a 2 incher here so far. It'll come. You don't get to see these trucks in snow too often anymore.

We had a little dusting the other week, so I don' know if this considered real snow.

It doesn’t get driven in the snow, but it sure got snowed on.

It counts for DC. We had 3 or 4 inches a week or so ago. It's been warm since. I'll get a sitting in the snow '20 picture next snow.

Same with my GMC. My road doesn't get pre-treated, so if I can get out before the plows I'll take it out

Took my first Blazer ice fishing many, many years ago. I'm about 1-2 miles off shore here...
