He was planning to re-pin & wire it himself. He's now ~15 months into the swap but hasn't even touched any wiring. The physical motor/trans are built & installed but now it's all the middle stuff (middle is different vs the 'little' stuff). I told him about what you were currently dealing with & said having access to experts is not a bad thing. Stick w/the GM stuff or if going aftermarket using a tuner friendly set-up that's actually supported. |

Spent some time on the truck this past weekend. Got the rear bumper and my license plate installed on the rear. It is all registered and legal to drive on the streets for the first time since 1998, back when I lived in Florida.
Took it to a cruise night in Tyler right after we hung the bumper. Hung out with some good friends and got to see some that I haven't seen since moving to Florida in 1996. It was a great night, did not do the actual cruise down Broadway, but just hung out in the parking lot for a bit. It still has some issues, mostly we think it is transmission related, but just haven't taken the time to diagnose it completely... |

I bought new dance shoes for my '64 but have that whole pay & wait thing going on there. I understand they should be my x-mas present to me. Other than that, I got the bed sub-frames PC'd but @ 110° in the shop, mid to late Sept will be the re-start dateline.
I'm glad one of us is moving forward. |

Wow, did not think I have been go from here for this long. Did take the truck to a couple of shows last year, and helped out a friend with a fall themed photo shoot at his wife's pre-school she works at. After that, truck has sat since November 2022...:waah:
