That’s okay - neither did I.

By the way - the main hazard (other than having to feed her) with dating a female of those proportions is losing your truck keys, forever, when she sets on them by accident.

What are you going use to scrape of the undercoating on the 36 lark? I used a chisel and some old straight screwdrivers.

I hit the toilet OK because I have short legs, and the middle one is long. :haha:

The parts of underneath the body that was soaked with oil just scraped off. He just wants a fresh coat of undercoat to clean it up. But if I had to scrape it off Eastwood has this. http://www.eastwood.com/under-gone-u...17-oz-net.html
Or last time I took off underwear............I mean undercoating I heated it with a torch, and it scraped right off.
See what thread jacking does to your brain. :haha:

Got most of the Larks frame cleaned down to bare metal. My arms are killing me. Man I love my lift. It was a big help. I used a 4 1/2" grinder with a twisted wire wheel.

After

Can't wait to get this frame painted so I can get my truck on the lift next. Sooooooon

Nice work Dennis. I'm wanting a 2 post lift still. My ceiling is exactly 12' maybe 1/2" less with sheetrock. Do you know the exact height of your lift?

Looks good Dennis. After talking to you I'm looking into 12' walls. A lift may be a few years off but it's good to plan for the future.

Depending on how you build it you could go with 10' walls and a vaulted truss. On my barn I stuck the foundation wall out of the ground 2' then a 8' wall. Then I vaulted the ceiling. I'm pretty sure just the peak has to be 12'. I'm putting one in my next house. My dream house is going to have one in the floor that goes down to a basement under my garage.:metal: Like a bat cave. Full of trucks:metal:

I need to start looking for a hoist that goes up and down. ;)The basement under the garage has always been a dream. It really only cost 4' more of wall and the free spaning concrete floor. :uhmk:

I'm still cleaning it. Did you see the pictures on page 17? I'm happy with the way it's coming out. I have to install a S-10 Diff with disc brakes next. Need to finish cleaning & painting it with POR-15 first.

yep saw that, just thinking with your speed you would be working on your truck, the lark looked like it was ready to go back together.

Almost. Still have some time consuming things to do to it. I'm going to sand blast all the hard to get at places, then paint it. I still have to make all the brake lines, and get the S-10 E-Brake to work with the Studebaker's pull handle after I put the S-10 diff in. I'm getting tired just talking about it. Hopefully this week I'll get it off the lift.:metal:

Here's the Larks frame ready to paint tomorrow. Spent all day sandblasting all the hard to get places.

While I was at it I sandblasted my 700R4. I sneak a little work in on my truck now and then. Especially since I was making a big mess with the blaster already. Next I'll paint it.
