Re: 1964 gmc 1000
o man where to start with today!! so i have been scrapping stuff to make extra cash on the weekend i my slef had a massive trash pile in my field witch got me kicked off at 209 bucks for a weekend of scrappin in the garage then my good friend gean who lives next to me is the unholy junk man he has 200-300 cars and just unreal treasure for a scraper lol well he kicked me another chuck of tvs and stereos
but today driving to work i seen it was trash on the street day in sandy so i took off work early and hit the streets i managed to get 8 tvs 2 90's big screen tvs 50'' (was unreal to see me put these in the 64 im sure actually had a lady come out and watch me from her porch lol) got 2 stereos a very big central air unit and then to top it all of a old man flagged me down he seen me getting a tv i pulled in his drive way he said he had some stuff in the garage for me if i want to carry it out so i followed him in he gave me 2 big electric motors and a vintage lawn mower that runs its so freaking sweet man i love the thing and and a vintage pogo stick HAHA!!! |

Making the trucks earn their own upgrades! LOL

Re: 1964 gmc 1000
for some reason i always get a laugh out of how much people dislike something about my truck like the gas tank that thing sets anger off in people and i just love it LOL.
this pic just reminded me of a time when my ex had a friend over and i started my truck while i was working on it in the garage and her fiend is all wow its so ugly i didnt even think it ran... hahaha http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h77/Jho411/gmc64.jpg |

Re: 1964 gmc 1000
still hoodless but making progress on the hood
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...psdf080454.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...ps56156bc5.jpg finely getting this side built up this was the side with the dents from crashing into the house when i was moving the truck without breaks no wonder i hit my house so much lol... and i know i'm probably just smoking something but i swear the truck is faster and runs better without the 200 pound hood lol! I love the view it gives you to you can see for miles down there without the hood in the way. |
Re: 1964 gmc 1000
maybe when i retire this truck to the garage queen ill set it up to be hoodless and run some dual exhaust derby style straight out the top.

Re: 1964 gmc 1000
so the radiator in the 64 finely kicked the bucket had to cut out the radiator support to get the 1960's radiator to fit i also had to remove the fan and add an electric fan.
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...ps719f77e0.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...psb36ecc69.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...ps78b59fbb.jpg this will just be temp till i can get a hold of another radiator. |

http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...pscf0464e8.jpg
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...ps95ddd1a3.jpg vw hood handle. http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...ps60a6dddb.jpg org mirror arm. http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...psbb406630.jpg and my latest idea i have noticed the truck dose respond better with the hood off deciding it was because it could get fresh cold air so this is a 1960 heater box im going to make into a fresh air intake almost got it all mounted up. http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...ps48911781.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...pseb121aca.jpg |
Re: 1964 gmc 1000

Re: 1964 gmc 1000
The truck runs like a champ happy with how everything turned out finely back to the hood!
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...ps97e8db2f.jpg Got a new hood hinge on the truck and the hood is not latched because the new heater box intake needs a bit of a trimming, redoing the vents on the hood a little to removing the blinkers from there location and adding some stuff to go along with the air box. http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...psd7ab6970.jpg More pictures soon will be working on it all weekend. |
Re: 1964 gmc 1000
Got a bunch done on the air box found out something interesting about a 1960's heater
box the top of it is aluminum go figure gotta be the only aluminum on the truck. Also got the driver side hood vent and blinker set up that i was talking about. http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...pse15a26cc.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...ps3cfd1794.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...ps77985894.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...ps5b764b81.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h7...ps1f47a069.jpg blink;) |
