Love the look of the Slosh Tubz, I may have to consider them since I am going to be removing my engine soon, Now may be the best time. Is there a thread dedicated to them?

I'd like to do it right now!!! However, I'm trying to get my house ready so the renters can move in this weekend. I have quite a bit to do still and i have to load up my garage into a POD to move all of my tools to SoCal. So...I need to try to get them on by Sunday night or I'll be doing it with limited tools/space. Wish me luck!! OR....one of you guys can come bolt them in for me.....

If you want to come to James Island your welcome to bolt them in at my place. I'll even let you use my wrenches and air tools! Then I can get to drool over your burb for a while.

Don't let the tubz blow away in this hurricane we're having!!:haha:

Did you have to cut the uppermost fender brace?
Or were they already cut?

67cheby 08-25-2011 10:04 PM

Re: 72 Suburban Build

that was already cut i made these to fit without cutting that, however if you needed to cut that for clearance it would be a very easy modification to make the tubs come on over to meet the fender

bruin_d 08-25-2011 10:05 PM

Re: 72 Suburban Build

You don't have to cut it at all (Mike can verify this). I cut them before I knew about him making them. I think that he actually designed that part so you WOULDNT have to cut.

Snapped a quick one with both in. I need to figure out why I'm touching on the outside of the drivers side tire. It was a problem trying to get that side aligned too. I need to figure out if the frame is tweaked or something. There is plenty of room above the tires though.

Is it touching where there is a step in the top of the sloshtub?
What's the backspacing on your wheels?

Whipped up a quick catch can. All fluids changed and all bolts checked. I leave on Sunday for the 400 mile bolt shaker run to Norfolk, VA. She's running pretty well so far.
