I get so caught up in 67-72s that I don't think of making money off of other years to push forward on my projects. Good for you.

I definitely keep my eyes open for good deals of any kind. Sold a nice little 68 Bug to fund my 67 project a few years back. Made about 2k in profit on it! This truck brought double that. Sure feels good having a little $$$ to make things happen with zero impact on funds!!! :metal::metal::metal:

Hey brotha!! Been a minute!! Thanks for stopping by the thread. :metal: Way too much "life" has happened over the past couple of years that has effected my progress. But I think I see some light at the end of the tunnel. It may help me keep my sanity! Glad to see you are still on yours too!:uhmk:

I will fabricate a tunnel or whatever is necessary for the driveshaft. I do a lot of fab work so not a problem. I will be running a one piece driveshaft to eliminate vibration as well.

My fab skills have been put to the test lately. I have never attempted these before but a guy asked for some and showed me what he wanted so I made them. Came out pretty good!!! Test fitted on my brother's 71 Blazer.:metal:

Complete braking system, new gas tank, new fuel lines and a few small odds and ends. Maybe a little paint correction. But yes it is in really great shape and you would not believe what I gave for it.:metal:

I sure hope so! The market is down on Baby Birds right now unfortunately. Still should net me a healthy profit! Hoping for around a 17k profit! :metal::metal::metal:

Found some script valve covers and got them cleaned up and ready for the LS1 that will be living under the hood. The wheels were looking pretty rough from sitting in the shop for a long time so I had them professionally polished and ceramic coated.

I purchased some valve cover adapters so I could run the script valve covers, it definitely looks better than the coils. Also got some Speed Engineering headers, nice product for the price!!! Those custom wood wheels are better than nothing while I am workin on her plus it rolls super easy!!!:metal:

I can use the oil fill tube with the valve covers, although I am still looking at better alternatives. These factory tubes just do not look that great.

Hey David, I had some time today and ended up reading through your entire build thread. IT IS AWESOME!!! The work you are doing is so cool - and I can't wait to see the end result. It almost makes me want to get a project going now that I am retired. Just wanted to let you know.... Keith

Hey Keith!! I appreciate you taking the time to go through the thread, and thank you for the kind words! Definitely a labor of love that takes time. Now that you are retired you have plenty of time to do one how ya want!! :metal:

I had to revisit a couple of things that needed attention. Moving forward is moving forward!! I had to pull the quarter out to eliminate alot of the filler that was needed.
Attachment 2196236
I cleaned up the door handle delete and pulled out some of it as well.
Attachment 2196237
I wanted to smooth the door to body area a little after doing a little custom overhang after cutting the tops of the doors off.

I cut some 1 1/4 in pipe in two and capped the inside of the door to make the 55 dash wing flow better.

This is where the build started getting interesting. I had a crazy idea of making the interior look a little like an old Corvette so I mocked it up in cardboard awhile back and now I started making it out of metal and attaching it to the hinged cover I was building.
