Well,
Hard to believe it has been nearly 5 years since the 78 went into the shop. I did a ton of work the first year, then it slowed to a crawl to say the least. Well after 3 different engines and most everything new but the paint and body, she is alive and on the road again. One of the last things I want to do is get her some new wheels, but I am not sure exactly what i want. For the time being I am putting the Centerline Telstars I have. Anything will be better than the chrome saw blades on her now...

Thanks, I'm hoping so. The goal is to make everything new and have it a daily driver. Of course w/some minor mods here and there to make it more modern.

Basically the same thing I'm doing with a crew cab truck right now. The 6.2 should get better mileage than my 3/4 ton van with a 318. And driving my 1 ton 4x4 is out of the question with gas as high as it is. :lol:

I know dude that was the plan but i had to put her together in a rush, to move her out of the shop she was in. I promise you next time you see new pics that will be taking care of

Hey MikeC10, it looks like I have the same wheels on my 78 Chevy C-10. I never ran them, though. I took them off of a '80 Blazer I bought for the front clip (hence the mud grips on the back ... really??). Anyway, I love the new stance on yours. Do you plan on keeping the wheels, and if so, what tires are you looking at running on them?

Right now I'm just using some old Rally wheels with some big ol' Signet Radial A/T's from a 77 Chevy parts truck my dad bought while we restore her, but I had planned on polishing these up and throwing something low on them. Suggestions, anyone?

Im running 235/75/15 all around, the front tires rub when i turn the wheels all the way and a little bit before that.
