Changed out my 1 1/2 inch dropped springs and replaced them with 2 inch dropped springs. Back when the front sheetmetal was still on it did not sit the way I wanted it to. So now it is lowered 4 1/2 inches in front instead of 4 inches. This is also the first big job my son helped me with. I hel the spring in place and let him operate the jack. Good day all around.

It’s great when you can involve your kids. My oldest son started in the garage early in life, passing wrenches or just hanging out. By the time he was 15 he had become such a dependable apprentice I’d have him button up the bottom of my engines and never needed to double check his work.

Went to the quarter car wash today and gave her a bath for the first time in 6 months. Did the best I could to blow off all the crud that use to be hidden by the inner fenders. I’m curious to see how much of the shiny POR-15 remains intact on the control arms and crossmember, but further clean up and detailing will have to wait for better weather. The last picture shows what it looked like before installation many years ago.

Nice looking truck.

Finally getting paint down on my '62. Interior is done, doors done, top of cab is done in cameo white. Next up is cab, fenders, cowl vent, grill, bumpers, etc., etc.

It's a long haul....

Started the Wiring process. Mounted the fuse block and routed the wires for the Engine, tail lights and dash stuff. Will stop there as I need some help trying to figure out how to wire in the stuff.

Removed the windshield, started stripping down the dash. Did a little sanding on the rear fenders. Tried to convince wifey I REALLY need to buy this sweet 56 chevy I found. Guess which thing didn't go over well in the Hill household...:gmc2:
