Re: Project Vitamin C-10
Michael,
you are only 4120 miles (71 hours) away from Ball Ground Ga. Come on down and I'm sure Alan will take care of you. Now that a road trip. |
Re: Project Vitamin C-10
I'm pretty sure its not mine, either! Unless I didn't get the memo. Maybe Alan is starting his own show and even the owner doesn't know he's about to be Alanhauled!!!

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
It's mine. I'm shipping it to Alan to finish because I hit the LOTTERY. Oh wait this isn't April Fools Day.:uhmk: :haha: :haha: :haha:

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
I've said on more than one occasion that I plan to drop mine off with Alan one day, but it's not mine just yet. He's built a great name for himself on this site, & whoever lets him work on their truck will no doubt be in good hands!

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
I wish it were mine, but that's not happening anytime soon. However if any of you get bored and want to donate some of your time and money I'll trailer to you. LOL

While I've got y'all guessing, when it gets here I will post a pic of it and see if anyone recognizes the truck and owner. Well, tonight I managed to get all the lines crimped and in place. I just have one more nut to tighten. It's the hardest to get too and I need a fresh brain. I had to go with the redneck hose seperator again until I get something nicer. |
Re: Project Vitamin C-10
Looking good, I love the way you routed everything, very clean.

Re: Project Vitamin C-10
I would have to get stationed at Ft Benning I think in order to be closer to your shop. Even then it looks like an hour ++ drive.
But it would be worth the drive ...... in case that needed to be said !! :smoke: |
Re: Project Vitamin C-10
well.....has it got there yet? the suspense is killing me. oh yeah, ac lines look great by the way....atention to detail is what its all about and you definitly have a gift when it comes to that.

Yes, the other truck got here today. I got the last nut of the AC system tightened up. It was a pain, ended up taking the battery and tray out. Here's the board members truck. The winner that guesses whose it is wins absolutely nothing. ;) Shannon, Kevin and Ronnie are exempt. :sexy: |
Re: Project Vitamin C-10

My small heater (55K) just took forever to heat up the shop and ran all the time. Shannon donated his (170K) to the cause and it runs maybe 5 minutes and the shop went from 48 to 56*. It's also thermostatically controlled. It scared the crap out of me the first time it kicked on when we were working and paying no mind to it. I love that thing. Thinking about removing the wood heater. |
Re: Project Vitamin C-10
Your wood burning stove is probably fine, you may just need a source of air circulation. Better to blow from the ceiling down towards the floor, in a direction that will move the air in a circular direction thru the room.
The only bad thing about wood burning stoves is they require attention thru the day, and dont come with a thermostat. The bad thing about those multi-fuel forced air heaters is the price of the fuels, and the fumes/carbonmonoxide. When I build my shop I will have both. I am an options kind of guy  |
Re: Project Vitamin C-10
Good to see you getting plenty of work ill be glad when I get busy again. Good luck with them.

I went junkin today and found and bought a Dakata Digital gauges for a 64-66 NIB. He also had a roller Crane Cam complete with roller tip rockers, lifters, and push rods all NIB for a SBC. I checked the price on the cam alone and it was $450. He wanted $600 for all of it. I was affraid that I might have been stuck with it. |
Re: Project Vitamin C-10
It's cool to see Dakota digital gauges. There buisness is right in town just down the block from me. Pretty cool us South Dakotans can contribute to the classic truck cause. Hahaha
