Probably the heaviest thing I've towed yet. My buddies 99 Shortbox dually diesel. Handled the weight just fine as far as control and ride quality, but my poor little 350 wasn't too happy on the highway.. :randy:

The hood work looks like PhotoShop, but the headlights look like they could be legit.

That doesn't explain the extremely rough and unnatural edges.

back in the 70's and 80's JC Whitney sold a step down hood and a dual square headlight conversion (stemmed from the custom van scene). looks like someone had some NOS from them or saved their old parts.

I think they were also very popular with the pre-runer trucks.

Okay, anyone with a better memory than me............ Are there any pics of CC SWB 73-79's with mouldings, in this thread? I lokked back a while and didn't see any. Trying to give my wife an idea of what her truck could look like.

Anyone think there is anywhere to get the dual square headlight conversion anymore?

Well I have to admit that a lot of the work got done here at my garage. If you know these years you know that 75s were when they were using cheap recycled metal. And yes this truck was BAD shape when we got it.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Ive never really been a fan of lowered trucks but I do have to admit that that does look very nice, you brought it all together really well. Also that steering wheel doesn't look half bad in there. Nice work man!

if this link dont take ya straight to the hood just search 73/87 parts . they sell for $589 for a regular or $399 for a race weight.
