see your steady at it i have a question going back a few of your posts did you purchase or bend your own brake lines im looking at Inline Tube has kits im going with the stainless

front, I had no problems. Rear, they provided wrong fitting at the union, or 'T', so I had to cut flare, and replace with correct size nut

Stainless can be a PITA to flare, but I read where annealing helps

Maybe, you could ask first what size nuts come with the part

frame and rearend are looking good on your project

Thought I'd throw this little tidbit out there.

When sawing with my bandsaw, I heard a thump, thump, thought I broke some teeth, looked at the blade, and there was a build up of aluminum in the kerf. Talking to the manufactor, he had asked what lube I was using, I said none. Told me that was the problem, so now I spray the blade and problem is gone

These are the two new harness, that I had to replace, they are for the LS series engines, but I have 350ci SBC
The original harness was set up for a crank trigger, so no go. Speaking to Jim at TPIS he's advised me that the new harness's will be an easier hook up. just repin for the firing order, and a step up voltage resistor. Also repin crank and cam sensors
The first harness shows the connecters that go to the crank and cam sensors

I wanted to mount the isolation blocks towards the edges of the aluminum mount, but they were to short. So, I settled for one block in the middle, countersunk and full thread, using my handi-dandi counter sink tool, that has been laying in my toolbox for thirty years, cool, the way you can adjust it for depth

While I was sitting there, admiring my success of the week, poofff, my florescent light above my engine bay blows out. Now, we've all dropped one and know the out come. Carefully, undoing the bulb, it slips momentarily, and clanks the motor, no explosion, great! Bring the whole unit down to change out the other bulb. Put it in, and rehang unit, that is now working, it slips out of my hand, and the whole unit crashes into my motor. I'm stunned, as there is no explosion with shards of glass all over my engine compartment as well as some obnoxious gas we are not to breathe. I packed up and ended my day as I was sure I've extended my luck

Now, I can move on to the XIM box, and mount it with isolaters I got from Mcmaster-Carr

changed my mind again, and decided to stack my computers, I think this could be the last change, as I have to get on with the wiring

Mcmasters-Carr sent some U channel to be used to mount the top computer

upside down, backwards,inverted, and inside out....redundant

If you design something, make sure it is easy to work on....had to add two access holes to allow use of allen wrench for tightening of mounting bolts on XFI

I had read somewhere that soap will stop aluminum from cloging up disk, don't know if it is working, but my work shop smells like Irish Spring

Yes, it is a factory color, dark olive, with a small metalic flake in it, the only part of my truck with original paint

My perferred method of drilling holes....center punch, or transfer punch, center drill, lubrication, and then drill size.

I had seen that color before just not with the metal flake.

I had picked a dark jade green metallic but I like that color a little more.

It is a micro flake, maybe called fire mist back in the day, and appears to be gold...have to look real close to see it

I found it in an old sampling color chart. In the color chart the flake does not show up as much as in the floor board pics of this thread's blazer.

It looked somewhat aftermarket not factory.

Just caught my eye.

Did not mean to get the topic off track. LOL

Jess, all I have are vortec manifolds...if you decide to change your heads, I would be more than happy to help out. Your engine looks killer with those valve covers. GMPP have dual mounting holes for vc's
