Well I bought it a year ago just like it is and my plans are to put a 383 aluim head motor that I am having built now along with a 700r tranny the truck is a short wheel base with a turbo 350 in it now with a two piece drive shaft and a 12 bot 373 gear.So if any of you guys have done this swap before and can point me in the right direction that would be awesome

Thanks I kept the original Ochre top color as I love the patina and do not have the heart to repaint it. I did repaint the roof, white sides and lower black color after repairing the rocker, doors and roof gutter rust.

Wow,I hope that will be a driver and not a trailer queen. I have a lot more fun driving to shows than I do showing it.

Here's my 67 swb that came as a bare bones project I picked up in December, Converted to 5 lug disc in front and swapped the rear axles to match. Installed a 454 / TH400. http://i62.tinypic.com/2mqrty9.jpg

first let me welcome to this great forum....looks like a good truck to start with and have fun with. the best place to start the build is to make it safe to drive around and make it stop good , then the rest can be done when you have the time and money ....good luck on your truck.
