Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
The white over dark yellow from Houston is a good looking truck for sure. I find it weird that the instrument panel looks restored but the only needle they didn't paint was the speedometer. Yes I'm nitpicking. Just seems odd to me. If you're going to the trouble to restore it. Why leave the speedometer unpainted. All the other needles appear to have been painted. Did they leave it unpainted to give the appearance that it was original and unaltered? If so, it's a fail for me.

Another really nice camper. 68 CST $9700.
https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/...238992530.html Very rare and vintage, I've tried to find others like it and have had no luck. Runs and drives great, interior is flawless except one little rip on the side backrest passenger side seat. CST package for 50th year C series anniversary includes powers steering. Truck Body has no dents and all glass is original and great shape. Camper body has minor imperfections given the year it was manufactured. All propane lines work to the heater and stove top elements. The only thing im not sure of is the refrigerator and possibly some of the plumbing lines. The water pump does work. Perfect for a very easy and fairly inexpensive full restoration. Truck was sent from the factory to Open Road Campers to have the chassis mounted camper attached. I would love to hold onto it but I don't have the time or money for it and have just had a death in the family recently. Willing to negotiate and answer any questions. Erik |

Ugh... none of these campers have factory air..

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Was air conditioning even available in a C30? Plus that's alot of volume to keep cool. GM may have decided it wasn't worth the trouble as not enough people would be willing to pay for it. I was a kid in Nevada back then and I remember lots buildings that didn't have A/C, ( unless it was a casino) there were lots of swamp coolers. People knew it as an expensive luxury.

72 C20 Custom Deluxe with a 402 and Highlander "C" pkg (originally white/med blue deluxe two tone with GRAY plaid interior - interesting ext/int color combo, I've never seen - long gone on this truck though. With some trim re-introduced to the truck and an interior re-do, one would have a very nice, and unique, Highlander on his hands). $12.5K
