What length is your hurst stick?

I would go with the shorter bench shifter (13") just too much reach in 5th and to much overhang on seat. |

2nd gear, tight to top leg, clears seat. I sanded chtome down being tossed around 20+ years

The Porterbuilt moved everything up and fwd 2" so the small hump tossed for high hump. The tko 600 came with mount far rear. I turned it to #2 position 2"-3" fwd. So my configuration might not be right for you.
This is 16" if the curve was not at bottom forward gears especially 5th it would work. Still over seat . |
Re: LVPhotos 1962 Build
Sweet man, thanks for the detailed pics. I couldn't decide between using a 13.5" or 16" hurst stick for my T56 with forward shift conversion so that confirmed it. Your truck is killer! one of my favorites on the forum:metal:

Nice ride, good read, great job overall. I am getting a 1962 shorty in the next month. Currently have a "69 C10 built from the ground up, LS and so on. So, now i get to build the "62. Want to bag it and do similar to how you did this one.

Re: LVPhotos 1962 Build
I just looked through your entire thread and you've got a great build going on. I am doing my hood right now and I'm dealing with a lot of the same issues and I'm using you're page for reference. Thanks for the detailed pics of your build. I am also getting ready to assemble and install my bed. I'll be following your progress.
