Re: Vintage picture thread
In 87 I bought a 62 Studebaker Champ.
http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...s/P1010020.jpg I got hit in the rear quarter (she didn't see me...) and hit a parked 76 Toyota Corolla wagon. Pushed it 8 inches to the curb and 4 inches up. Both drivers side tires quickly had severe negative camber and the drivers door couldn't open. My fender was pushed back and I had a little trouble opening the passenger door. Had it painted Corvette yellow so I could be seen. http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...s/P1010021.jpg One day I'll scan them... |
Re: Vintage picture thread
Does anybody know of anywhere I can get a pic that isn't copyrighted so I can blow it up and have it printed? I want a couple pics to hang on the wall in the shop. I'm really liking the original factory ads or dealership ads of the 69/70 c10s. I tried having a couple pics from this thread that I liked printed, but they wouldn't do it cuz the pics are copyrighted. Didn't even think about that...
Thanks, Ryan |

If sites like this one http://www.adclassix.com/a3/67chevro...ckuptruck.html can sell them, then why can't you as an individual have one blown up for your own private use....I don't understand it. If those new bills go through then it's all over anyway. |
Re: Vintage picture thread
Or is it possible to find the magazines or books that these ads came in and get them blown up to a small poster? What books or magazines would even have those ads? I'm really looking for original ads that have the 69/70 c10's in them... Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks, Ryan |
Re: Vintage picture thread
I checked Car and Driver May 1969 and they have no truck ads. Maybe Popular Mechanics?

Re: Vintage picture thread
Ok these are like pics of crappy old pics cause I dont have a scanner, but still cool. Most of these are from before I was around, but I remember the trucks. My dads is the blue 1/2 ton 76 and grandpas is the white 3/4 ton 74.
Mom and dad. He bought truck brand new in 76 when he was 19. Special ordered it exactly the way he wanted it. Traded in his Scout on it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...tman/015-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...tman/017-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...tman/018-1.jpg Camping at the lake http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v394/Meatman/008.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v394/Meatman/007.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...tman/010-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...tman/012-1.jpg I remember when my Grandpa sold his to junk yard in early 90s. Sister and I Guessing 90 or so. He traded the 76 on the gray 88 Jimmy in the last picture. Remember how it was terribly rusty when he traded it in. Lots of memories from the Jimmy, kept it up until 08 or so and it was same boat. Really rusty, but some kid bought it to restore. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...tman/014-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v394/Meatman/013.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v394/Meatman/005.jpg |
