Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
1991 S-10 Blazer, Sport package, with a few uncommon/nice options, with the rare factory moonroof. This was what turned me from a F@#D kid to a Chevy man. This was my first real vehicle, and my first 'wheeler, and she sure did wheel a lot;
http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...ntleftshot.jpg Then came the next gem, 69 C-10 350 4speed, http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...-frontleft.jpg Next came the real beauty. 1997 K1500 Z71. My pride and joy, my first real truck except for the 69 C-10, this is the product of my blood and sweat, this was my first real love, this truck is my life. And my money pit. Right after I first got it, except the push bar and toolbox: http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...frontright.jpg Then, with wheels and tires: http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...0/P1000161.jpg http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...0/P1000145.jpg Aaaaaaannnnnnnnndddddd now, it's evolved into this, and I am far from done with it. 6" Superlift, 16x8" Eagle Alloy wheels wrapped with 35" Dick Cepek Crushers. I am definitly not done with it, upcoming will be gears, full replacement front bumper, winch, maybe a double single chrome rollbar, lots of KC lights, and that's just the beginning. Truck already has ten grand hard cash into it, within the past two years, and maybe five or ten more, hah. http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m.../the97july.jpg http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...the97july8.jpg http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...the97july3.jpg http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...the97july1.jpg Sorry for the cruddy images, color or quality isnt very good, I used a crappy camera. Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
is it just me, or does it almost look like I've got closer to 4" than 6" of lift? It seems way too tight, and it does rub over bumps that it shouldn't. Otherwise, I love it. As if I didn't get enough compliments about this truck before, wow. Not to mention some grins, smiles, and stares, hah. Truck looks way nicer in person, believe me. Anyways, keep em comin.

Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
Here is my Daily Driver.
I put in a painted grill, diamond clear headlights, marker & corner lights, and put on a diesel front bumber. The rear has a welded in Goodmark roll pan, filled and relocated tailgate handle(painter guy screwed up the clear and I am resanding and buffing it). Wheels are BOSS 307's, 245/40-20 Front, 275/45-20 Rear. Drop spindles in front with a hanger/shackle kit in the rear. http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...DDTruck002.jpg http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...DDTruck003.jpg http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...DDTruck004.jpg |

Heres my old 96 and my current 00 25hundo. The 96 had a 3" Rough Country lift and 33x10.50 BFGs. I put some later model Z71 Tahoe/suburban decals on it in place of the factory Silverado. Other than that pretty much stock. The 2500 is just a 350 auto 4x4.

Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
correct me if i am wrong but something i have noticed no one ever fixes up a long bed chevy most are the short beds. personally i wish mine was a short bed but i don't really feel like sectioning the bed and frame to make it a short bed.
|
Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
I like the long beds, only if they are a standard cab, like my 72 GMC. Long and low. I think the short beds look good behind a extended cab.

Here's one for you. It's for sale here in Nashville. Eight lug wheels, 454. I guess the bed is just a simple swap?

Yeah. I don't believe any crew cabs were released with stepside beds. There was no practability to them, really. Look nice though. I would actually get a kick out of that one, an 8 lug with a big block... would be fun. |

Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
Hadn't forgotten about you...went by today, to the shop where I'd seen it before, and the guy I talked to said the guy who owns the truck works there but wasn't there at the moment. I could see the truck in the yard, but it was on the other side of a locked gate. I'll give it another try sometime.

Schweet truck... very nice. Can I ask where you got the front bumper with the fogs? I was looking at stylin concepts and LMC trucks for one, but, I've never seen one installed on a truck.. looks sharp. |
Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
I have a really cool one at the shop, with 2 fogs on each side it is nicer than the one I have and you will never see another one like it. Email me if your interested and I will send you a pic Grunionfabrication@cox.net
Oh and its brand new:) |
Re: Post Your Ride 88-98 Trucks
TMT - still haven't forgotten about you. I went by that shop maybe three weeks ago. It was my second time stopping by; asked if the owner (think the guy who owns the truck also owns the shop) would let me take pics of the red truck, since it was for sale. Both times, the guy I talked to (different guy each time) acted surprised when I mentioned it being for sale. There's a language barrier there, so that might be part of it, but the second time I left my phone number for the owner to call me, and I haven't heard anything. So I guess it must not really be for sale. Either that, or it is for sale, and the owner is one crappy salesman. Sorry man!
