This is my 2000 2wd S10 with a 4.3. Its currently sitting on jackstands with no suspension as I was in the process of fitting it with airbags. Due to circumstances I am putting it back together with just a static drop for now so I can drive it, and will finish bagging it later. Not much done to it right now other then small details for the bags, but I have swapped the hood for a GMC, got some leather passport seats to fab up, fixed a few little things here and there and redid the grille and installed new lights. Future plans...a roll pan, new front bumper, wheels, plasti-dip the truck camo green or paint it olive drab, and coat the bed in some kind of liner.

That looks like it could get exciting. Good looking truck. What kind of times does it run? My guess would be mid to high 8's. Just a guess not knowing any details.

Hers mine. Built it over the last 15 years just got my drive train out of my late model circle track car. When I quit racing I had my new built engine and tex racing 4 speed. Found a home in my s10. Bad fast truck but not so much a daily driver anymore so I started my 67 stepside project.

Here's my '92 Blazer I sold this past December. 4.3/auto, ex-Navy truck with original paint and interior. It was stock when I bought it with just shy of 50k on the odometer and was solid as a rock. I left the body as is was, lowered it with belltech coils and spindles up front and leafs, blocks, and air shocks w/ a c-notch in the rear. Kept it clean and simple with a hot rod influence. Sold it to a local guy in Southern Maryland who drives it daily.
The second one is the '99 Sonoma I had before the Blazer. I bought it pretty much as you see it except for the wheels which I added. It was built by Matt at Haggard Fab in NJ, had QA1 coilovers on all 4 corners with tubular control arms up front and a 3 link in the rear. Even though it only had a 2.2 with a 5 speed it fun to drive. Sold it at Carlisle several years ago to a guy in PA and after seeing it pop up on Ebay a couple of times with no buyers it disappeared. |

Re: How about some pics of S10 S15 Luv Blazer II
This was my very first truck; '83 S-10 lwb, bought when I was 21 (2004). I was the 2nd owner. Original owner bought it through a Chevy dealership in Beverly Hills and optioned it really weird; 2.8 with a 5-speed, 4.11 posi (Tahoe package). PB, PS, no ac, no stereo. No Chevy insignia or impact strips anywhere on it.
When I got it, it already had dropped spindles and springs up front with 2" blocks out back. I added the Skylark Rally's and then 3" dropped leafs and 4" blocks. I looooooved this truck. Ran great and looked pretty good too. Unfortunately I dumped tons of money into it trying to get it to pass smog with no luck. Eventually I gave up and sold it. I drove it daily for almost 6 years, still miss it. http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/x...pse9210970.jpg http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps3c94a038.jpg |

Left - my son's 1995 Jimmy 4x2. We had to get rid of it because some kind of tar looking stuff was dripping from the rear cross member onto the muffler and catching on fire and I didn't feel like figuring it out.
Right - my 2000 Jimmy 4x4. I still have this, but it doesn't run very well and I haven't been able to figure it out yet. I may start a thread about it and ask some questions there. |

Here is a pic of my 85 blazer I built quite a few years back. It was static dropped with a 400 small block engine. It was a lot of fun to drive. NO laughing at the small 15" rims. A friend of mine send me the pic. I don't have any other digital pics of it...
S-10's are what I cut my teeth on. I have been building classic AD trucks since. Marc |

Here's our 2004. 4.3/Auto. 4WD. Got in Oct. 2014. Best little truck we've had, (except for my 65 Suburban...This is my wifes truck. Picture taken today at an abandoned gas station in Jerome, Az. Drives and handles great. Just need to get a new left front door panel for it, but other than that it's perfect.

Re: How about some pics of S10 S15 Luv Blazer II
I figure a few NASCAR fans may enjoy these additions to the thread. I own the Mooresville, NC based toxicology firm that does the substance abuse testing for NASCAR, so these guys swing by our office in the pre-season. My first truck was an '87 S10 Extended Cab Tahoe, so I usually take notice when I see a good looking old one.
Ken Schrader was by the office this morning in this (rare - 1 of 3) crew cab/regular bed S10's. http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/c...pslv3rix2r.jpg And when Dale Jr. was in last month, he was driving his newly restored replica of his first truck. (I didn't snap the photo the day he was at the office, I had to Google it to find it) He loves this truck and seems to be driving it everywhere lately. He can run around town and nobody recognizes him. . . hiding in plain sight. http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/c...psqaeivwzk.jpg |

heres my 99 s10. 327 sbc with th350, full smooth sheet metal bed, shaved everything but taillights, wheels are 20in American racing torque thrust 2, the firewall is heavy silver flake. me and my dad did everything on the truck minus rebuild the trans. the truck was torn all the way down to the bare frame and everything was blasted and painted. all the suspension and the engine block were matched to the exterior color while everything else was either black or chrome. the dash, glove box and rear panel were all sanded smooth and painted like wood grain
