fabricated my tank straps, bought a bunch of parts to start working towards getting the engine running, realized I have to exchange the alternator bracket (wrong one.... dang) came to the conclusion that I was at a stand still so I helped a guy put a 3" suspension/ 3" body lift in a Tracker.

Picked up a 2000 LS 5.3 with all accessories, wires, and computer. W/ 15k on it.

had to move truck parts around in my shop so I could get to my woodworking machines. So I can make a few Christmas presents. Sold some S10 body parts and ordered some suspension parts for the S10 chassis(53/S10)

Started the official "John's Old Truck" countdown to the first day of Spring 2012 (when the cover will come off), with a new blog post recalling the absolutely insane weather we've had here this year. And of course, still hoping the old fat guy in the red suit brings me a garage for Christmas...

Primered the roof of the cab in hopes of the sale of the truck tomorrow goes through. If not I keep working, it's only time and and a little paint for now...... hope it sells soon.

I started to work on custom kick panels for the 48 that will house my 6.5" speakers...
I'm down to just my interior left.

Scored wiper bezels to replace the ones I have "misplaced" from a local guy. buying cables for the tailgate today.

Lookin good... I made the same mounts for my S10 chassis swap and it worked out great... What did I get done this week... Front and rear bumper brackets made and installed!

:chevy:I sanded down the passenger side fender. spray the inside of it with undercoating. Then i sanded down the grill. spray both with a good coat of gray primer. Then when the grill was dry i spray it with a coat of chrome. Tomarrow i want to put the hood one and add all the bolts that i still need put in and put the other turn signal light and head lights one.:chevy: Also looking for some replacement mirrors or where to find newer stly tires and rims that will fit it. 7.00-20.00.

Thanks waybad and mknittle.... All I got with my truck when I bought it was cab, front fenders, hood and Bed sides only. I had the s10 bed laying around the side of the shop trying to sell it. Ive seen the bottom of the s10 beds put in but never including the front piece, decided to try it.....

Got the cables but working on tailgate requires opening the garage door so I can't fire up the stove. Its in the low mid 30's (or 20's by the time I get home) so it is going to be slow progress.

Bolted the front end together, need a little adjustment but I can finally open my doors without banging the flappy fenders!!! also, drove the truck 10 feet to realize my brake pedal is sticking, so I need to fab a return spring to pull the pedal back

Well, I pushed the frame out to take some pictures. Its the first time its seen the daylight in awhile. After I took some pictures and looked at them, I realized how much of a mess the garage is. Uhuh. Started cleaning up, got distracted by shiney things and decided to pull the motor from the rolling cradle and put it on the stand to continue assembly.
