Re: My Project 56Chevy1300
Congrats on completing the build, but are you really ever done?
I like that stance of the truck, can you lay it on the ground with those bags? Tri5 |
Re: My Project 56Chevy1300
Sweet truck. Need to do something about the front bumper, rest of the truck is too nice for that one.
|
Re: My Project 56Chevy1300
Very nice and well done.

Re: My Project 56Chevy1300
Looks sharp. Can't wait until I'm there.

Re: My Project 56Chevy1300
Ha ha, no not actually done, but she's on the road. I have interior to finish. She is as low as she'll get, the front crossmember is 1" off the ground. I'm not sure what to do about the front bumper, might paint it white, like she was stock.

Re: My Project 56Chevy1300
i was thinking the same you might want to paint it white or metallic silver
dunno if rechroming it cost a lot but that might be nice too , maybe make a little rollpan on the back as whell so it looks a bit smoother . |
Re: My Project 56Chevy1300
Looking good, it probably cheaper to buy a new chrome bumper. 220$ from The old Car Center in BC.

Re: My Project 56Chevy1300
So does this mean we can meet at a cruise or show in Edmonton this summer? Maybe a Wednesday night at Wendy's on the southside?
|
Re: My Project 56Chevy1300
For sure, I'll be out this summer!
|
Re: My Project 56Chevy1300
It must be nice to have it ready for the summer. I wish I could say that. Looking good.

Re: My Project 56Chevy1300
Can you fill me in on the cruise control? I have been wanting to find a system to work on my project..Thanks! Your truck is awsome Love the wheels and the color. The understated color of the engine is cool!

Re: My Project 56Chevy1300
I was just curious as to what it came off of. From my knowledge, the box looks like it came off of a 88-94 chevy truck. Could you ask him what year cruise box it is and how he wired it up? I would greatly appreciate it.

Re: My Project 56Chevy1300
You're right, mid-90's chevy pickup. The only thing I'm missing right now to run the cruise is a two-pronged speed censor. That make sense?
Yeah it made sense. I just wasnt sure how it was wired up. I got it.When you get it finished would you mind posting up some pics? |

I may go with a farm truck look with my dad's farm name, Y Knot Cattle Co. on the doors...let me know what you think.

Re: My Project 56Chevy1300
I like it. The wood on the bed look good too. I think on the wood the end should match the shape of the rear fender, and the front match the cab angle.
|
Re: My Project 56Chevy1300
I like the door writing but the white roof i don't think so. The box side should be two narrow boards with the upper one being shorter.
|
Re: My Project 56Chevy1300
I like it !!! I bet your Dad would luv it too
|
Re: My Project 56Chevy1300
i agree on the two wood strips for the bed
if you make the lettering and roof while you should do the bumpers and maybe even the grille and some accent pieces white too . it gives it a perioud correct look |
